Larry, I thought of Humbert Humbert, too. Must be a Catholic cartoon.

I know this isn't from scripture and it isn't compassionate but I think it's time, for the good of humanity and the dignity of the Church, that we who profess the risen Christ admit that we just aren't funny. Jews and atheists are funny. We just turn comedy and cartooning into extensions of our everyday pouting. OK, D.L. Hughley is funny and Charles Schultz kinda was but by and large, no, I suggest we no longer try.

To clarify, I propose we fast from cartooning, like we do from humor.

I don't get it.

Is this supposed to be funny?

It seems merely irritating polemical posturing to me, frankly.

Interesting that "Mom-1" is an insentient machine. And it apparently exists purely to ferry around fully formed sentient beings- whose sentience is defined by their unquestionable control of "Mom-1" and their selfserving political concerns. (I have to wonder where they bought "Mom-1" and how they paid for it. And how they got the license to fly it.)

The cartoon sadly illustrates much of the beliefs the 'pro-life' side tacitly holds but tends to deny. I don't know whether this polemic or perfect satire, but it's amazingly on the mark.

Probably not identical twins... Two daddies?
