Waterboarding for muggers?, pt. 2

posted by David Kuo | 2:02pm Friday November 2, 2007

Other possibilities to create a safer America from SkipChurch:

The President has assured us that waterboarding is not torture, and there are legal opinions by the finest minds in his administration (stop laughing) that all sorts of “enhanced interrogation techniques” are okay.
So why not bring back some of the tried-and-true methods of the past?
Thumb screws: Hey, it doesn’t sound so bad, right?– and it has a long and popular history with law enforcement, witch hunters, heresy hunters, etc.
The Rack: Now this particular device got a bad name from overzealous practicioners. But since it can be used in such a way as to not “be equivalent in intensity to the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure”, I think our brave forces of law and order need this effective machine installed in every police station basement.
There are lots of other devices, just the threat of which might elicit a confession. For the female evil-doers, breast talons. For the really hard cases, why not give the Iron Maiden a try? Or the Heretic’s Fork? Or the notorious Pear?

Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

Learning to tell a story
For the last ten months or so I've been engaged in a completely different world - the world of screenwriting. It began as a writing project - probably the 21st Century version of a yen to write the great American novel - a shot at a screenplay. I knew that I knew nothing about the art but was inspir

I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left. When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Our Baptist church has some older but still very usable Racks that we once employed for some of our more, um, “involved” church discipline cases. We’d be happy to make these available to the U.S. gov’t at a reduced rate since GWB is a “brother in the Lord.”
We no longer have need for them since we’ve progressed to the use of waterboarding for the ocasional stubborn paedo-baptists that lurk in our ranks.

Skipchurch, watching the presidential debates did it for me. What do you want to know?

Canucklehead & Doug– LOL!!! Funny stuff!
After the debates…and as we enter the political ad season in earnest…I’m thinking there is money to be made selling airsick bags.
Maybe David should market personalized David Kuo barf bags: “If politics is making you sick, please dispose of properly after use.”

I wonder how many families of 9-11 victims, including the families of the firefighters, think the apathy and appeasement of the garden variaty leftist is so funny here.

Here’s proof of the wasted money spent on a modern (Marxist) education in our western schools:
“Donny: Christians have used force to spread the faith. Think Spanish Inquisition, Salem witch trials, 19th century colonization of Africa, Asia and Central/South America.
Posted by: James | November 2, 2007 1:26 PM”
All three “inquisitions, dealt with Christianity. It was not designed to
spread” the faith. It was about heresy and Judaism. Not evanglelism. The salem witch trials resulted in the people of salem executing some of their own citizens. Again, Evangelism was not the aim. Colonialization of Africa, Asia, and Cntral America are exclusively the responsibility of the “countries” that employed the domination over other peoples. The British, the Spaniards and THE DUTCH (whose word “aparthied” means “seperateness”), were establishing their “european” ways onto the peoples of the places you mention.
Unless your mind has been completely wiped clean by Leftist education (which is usually the case), a cursory read of the New Testament – especially the Gospels – show that “Christians” preach and teach “inclusiveness” of all peoples into “The Church.” The “Christians” that don’t, are challenged by the Christians that do. Up to and including removing the “non” inclusive folks from the ranks of Church membership.
Go ahead, I don’t mind . . . look it all up for yourself. You can read the New Testament in a very short period of time. Sorry pal, the history of European’s conquering and invading other countries (what 2000 or 3000 years?) is a far more lengthy undertaking. But I can boldly state, that no where is the spread of The Gospel . . . the Evangel” anywhere within the pages of the New Testament, to be accomplished by violence, war or subjugation of peoples.
Oh, and Spain, Britain and the Netherlands? ALL have ended up secular and liberal. Label the tree by the fruit it bears.
Now, how many “Africans” are becoming Christians these days?
Ask the Anglican Church.
Seems the Christians (millions and millions of them almost exclusively “Black”) in Africa are still trying to rid themselves of “secular” European influence.
