Fox debate

Quick thoughts on the Fox debate:

- Huckabee didn't give anyone confidence that he could be commander-in-chief. In past debates he has been funny and commanding but tonight he was just out classed.

- McCain wasn't terribly impressive either. He seemed tired and a bit fragile.

- Rudy has got to step up his game or this race is going to over for him very, very quickly.

- Romney was great. He seems to have grown comfortable with the idea that he is running to be America's chief executive rather than America's most popular guy. When the conversation turns to change he can say that he has actually produced change.

- Fred looks like he just wants to go home. Soon he will.

So, why don't we hear about Ron Paul?

Evangelical Christians lusting after war? Brian? Brian? Would that be like the South Korean Evangelicals that were kidnapped and two of them murdered by Muslim Jihadists? Or would that be the thousands of Evangelical Christians serving in other missions feeding, clothing and caring for the worlds most suffering peoples? Those Evangelical Christians? Last time I looked (which was today), it is the military that is fighting Islamic Jihadist killers, and, in only a few countries. Namely, Iraq and Afghanistan. Care to list any "Evangelicals" that are fighting with violent means against anyone with violence? Please either do not lie or apologize for doing so. Oh, by the way . . . South Korea has more Christian missionaries in foreign countries than any other group of Christians. "Evangel" means The Gospel. Something that liberals and progressives do not believe in entirely. And neither do Muslims. Time for a wake up call!!!! Like Sting sings: Truth hits everybody. BTW, Romney looked like he did the best in the debate. Doesn't mean I'll vote for him though.

While I in no way condone what happened to the South Korean Evangelicals, I believe that the Muslim countries aren't too keen on outsiders who come in and try to convert their people to another religion.
Would people here in the United States be happy if teams of Taliban came to the states intent on converting Christians to Islam? I imagine there would be a great deal of anger.
Speaking as a Jew, I actually had someone within the United States try to "show me the light" of Christianity.
At the risk of sounding rude, I showed them the door...

Ron Paul apparently has a nasty nasty history of white supremacy. Documented pretty fully until 1996. I would bet there's a bit of shame among many at the thought of connecting him to the party of Lincoln. But then again - it worked in the South. I would like to know if he is merely a David Duke in costume or if his name was misused. So far I'm leaning a bit toward the David Duke theory. Let you know where my research takes me. I fully expected it to be just a nasty tall tale.

Dear members who are having posts held up,

A note on the spam filter. Our spam filter (regardless of the pop-up message stating a post is being held for moderation) does not hold up posts for that reason. I won't even try to guess why that message pops up. It does not hold posts for ROC violations. It does not target members because of what they post. What it does is look for SPAM.

If a post is held by spam-bot, and you resubmit it a dozen times or more, spam-bot feels validated in "believing" it is dealing with spam. Please refrain from doing this. It confuses spam-bot, it frustrates you, and it gives me extra work (I have to "tell" spam-bot that ALL of the posts it caught are not spam. This puts all dozen or more posts back onto the live board. I then have to delete all the duplicates).

If you have a post held up, contact us and one of the monitors will sort through the file, find your post, and release it. Otherwise, please be patient. We look for problems like this at least once a day and will take care of it when we come across it.

Thanks!
