Huckabee and Romney

posted by David Kuo | 9:06pm Tuesday January 8, 2008

Romney and Huckabee both sounded great in their concession speeches.
Romney sounded downright populist in talking about the need for the problems of the middle class to be addressed and he positioned himself as a Washington outsider with a track record of producing change. He sounded good. He’s not out.
Huckabee sounded like the guy people liked again. His poor debate performances over the weekend raised the question about whether he had the chops to compete. But he was gracious and funny.

Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

Learning to tell a story
For the last ten months or so I've been engaged in a completely different world - the world of screenwriting. It began as a writing project - probably the 21st Century version of a yen to write the great American novel - a shot at a screenplay. I knew that I knew nothing about the art but was inspir

I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left. When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Twenty-three rounds, it seems, is enough. What comes next? We'll go back to what we did after the surgery. We'll watch and measu

Romney doesn’t care one damned bit about the middle class or the poor, despite how populist he may try to sound now.
And Huckabee was quoted today by the Washington Times as stating that he would like to see a 28th Amendment to the US Constitution such that children born of illegal immigrants are not granted US citizenship. That’s just un-American! Neither of these men deserve to be president.

PW:
I used to like Huck.

Just checked washtimes.com. Huck has backed off — but Paul has restated his support of revoking birthright citizenship.
And he still claims to be libertarian. Honestly, folks — kooky is as kooky does.
