A must-hear sermon

Tuesday February 5, 2008

Categories: Faith

I don't know of any fancy way to post this sermon so it looks interesting.

It is something hugely important and worth talking about. In it, Greg Boyd talks about prayer and about why it is that we can pray for an egg and instead get a scorpion.

Listen.

I didn't know I needed that encouragement until I was halfway through his sermon. Many, many thanks. Here's to more faith, more prayers, and more eggs.

I must say, David, I was hugely disappointed.

The reason people get into fatal car accidents is because of free will? I didn't need detailed theology for that.

The reason you got cancer despite your devoutness was because of chaos theory? I CERTAINLY didn't need detailed theology for that.

The reason explaining anything else is because of tiffs between G-d and the Devil? All I needed was the Book of Job for that.
