Dancing... or drinking through life
I am not even sure that I know how to do a link anymore. I'm giving it a shot though so, three readers, please forgive me if I mess this up.
So Rod Dreher's sister is battling cancer. It is nasty. Their faith is extraordinary. Here's his latest post (I think)

Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

David,
Your previous post said it for me about the Uganda experience and the wrestling of my heart and God. Like Jacob and his encounter with the Angel of the Lord, I’ve walked away with a limp. Thanks for a clear, simple step to making a difference to go with our Compassion sponsorship of two children.
Grace to you and your continued recovery, and thanks for sharing your heart and your well-reasoned thoughts. Redemption occurs when faith turns us from cynicism and despair and moves toward actions that bless others in the name of Jesus.

My sponsored Compassion child has graduated from CI, is now a young adult, going to college, working a job and he is a Christian. (He is still living in the African country where he grew up.)

Microloans are certainly effective at many levels. the Charity sisters have been operating such loan networks for years.
