David,

Your previous post said it for me about the Uganda experience and the wrestling of my heart and God. Like Jacob and his encounter with the Angel of the Lord, I've walked away with a limp. Thanks for a clear, simple step to making a difference to go with our Compassion sponsorship of two children.

Grace to you and your continued recovery, and thanks for sharing your heart and your well-reasoned thoughts. Redemption occurs when faith turns us from cynicism and despair and moves toward actions that bless others in the name of Jesus.

My sponsored Compassion child has graduated from CI, is now a young adult, going to college, working a job and he is a Christian. (He is still living in the African country where he grew up.)

Microloans are certainly effective at many levels. the Charity sisters have been operating such loan networks for years.
