The day before I flew to Uganda I ended up at Holy Trinity Brompton in London where I heard this song, Happy Day, by their worship leader Tim Hughes. It stuck in my head throughout the trip. The words and music were such stark contrasts to what I saw around me. It seemed only natural to try and use it as the soundtrack for these pictures and in doing so to realize the incongruity was only skin deep.

Thank you David - this is a wonderful video reminder of both the impact of Compassion's Uganda blogger trip and the fact when we are saved spiritually we do have a happy day. How interesting to me is putting this video in between the discussions of racism.

I had such a happy thought, because on my way to Uganda I also stopped at Holy Trinity, Brompton on an unplanned layover in London due to Brit Air strike in 05. What a grand place to be encouraged.
