Dancing... or drinking through life

I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left.
When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Twenty-three rounds, it seems, is enough.
What comes next? We'll go back to what we did after the surgery. We'll watch and measu

It’s the Pope…any man in his 80′s walking around in white all day deserves good props. Especially when he has something relevant to say…Popes, they always have something relevant to say no matter how old they are. I hope to be that cool and thoughtful when I’m in my 80′s.

It took all I could do, like his girlfriend, from crying by the end of the story …
More than the horror of his illness, what I was struck by was how teen-agers, the girl in particular, could have such fidelity with each other under such brutal circumstances — at the very age where people would understand if she said, “No, I can’t handle it” — while couples who are their parents’ and grandparents’ age split up for the most frivolous of reasons.
(Yes, I am a divorcee, but I battled for my marriage as long as humanly possible — not, in the argot of your erstwhile political party, David, “cutting and running.”)

Larry,”cutting and running might be a blessing compared to the cess pool America is in. Many lives are wasted for greed. Billions of dollars each month spent to fill the coffers of corporates crooks and contractors. The ’100 years was is going to be very costtly. Americans are going to be,and already is ,hungery,homeless,jobless etc. Do you know anyone inthat catogory? Let’s cut and run. save lives,and money. The Iraqis banks are already full.
