Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

Learning to tell a story
For the last ten months or so I've been engaged in a completely different world - the world of screenwriting. It began as a writing project - probably the 21st Century version of a yen to write the great American novel - a shot at a screenplay. I knew that I knew nothing about the art but was inspir

I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left. When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Twenty-three rounds, it seems, is enough. What comes next? We'll go back to what we did after the surgery. We'll watch and measu

You gotta love it. The 0 x 0 = the universe crowd. So laughable it hurts. Funny video. Too bad Dawkins and his humanist brethren take himselves so seriously. “If I was dyslexic I’d even hate dog too.” I love that line. I’ve been laughing at atheism since I started using a calculator and thinking with reason and logic as my guide. If atheism didn’t corrupt so many people and cause so much horror, it would rank among the best comedy routines of all time. Oh yeah, I love atheists.

Very funny. Thanks for sharing this. The Flava Flav clock is a great touch. I agree that the line about hating dog is the funniest line.

Well, it is funny and touching…and another demonstration that theism is mostly an emotionally held belief.

So many ways to go – none of them the highroad. Amusing and yet – with a smidgen of ewwwwww! Hey David Kuo – saw you just a few minutes ago on NBC news – while they attempted to make the prayer breakfast people sound like a cult of nazis -but you looked good – very earnest and presentable for a Christian guy (a touch of sarcasm – shaken not stirred)

It’s too bad, atheism is a legitimate theory that’s too often turned into Christian-bashing by people like Dawkins and Hitchens. Although Hitchens is hilarious to listen to, the man’s got a sharp wit, even if it is soaked in unnecessary vitriol.

Gotta love it. The “bearded man in the sky + seven days = the universe” crowd. So laughable it hurts. Or crashes airplanes into buildings.
It’s a clever video, but what’s the real message: people who study things aren’t to be trusted.
Yeah, that’s the attitude we need.

Saint Andeol, Hitchens’ wit is soaked in whiskey, I think. Vitreol is a gel.

At first I though this was a clever pro-creationist or at least anti-Dawkins video. I went back and carefully listened to the lyrics and followed a link in the about this video section which has them written out. After that I changed my opinion of this video.
I think it is satire but it is making fun of the arrogance of people like Dawkins while basically agreeing with his assertions about the nature of reality.
I still want one of those Darwin fish hats.

silly scientists, learning things.
everyone knows observational empiricism is garbage. the answer, of course, to any mystery about the world around us is christianity. hell, next time there’s a symposium on vertebrate evolution there better be a baptist pastor with an associate’s degree in divinity along with all those people who have a clue of what they’re talking about for, you know, balance.
