NPR asked me to do a short memo to the president-elect. I chose to do it on the dog he should choose... and why. Check it out.

Great memo and if Mr. Obama appoints you Secretary of Critter, please consider me for Undersecretary of Beagle. My dogs can complete the 61-question survey honestly and without making anyone nervous.

David--your dog looks amazing!! Clearly, our canine companions are worth more than all the lexapro, lunesta, etc. in the land. Right now I can't finish washing the bedding b/c one of my airedale/golden mixes looks so angelic sleeping on the bunched up blanket on top of our bed. I can't bear to disrupt her. Didn't Harding have an airedale in the White House? Hmmmmmmm...............
