I always do. I greet friends and family with a kiss and of course I kiss a boyfriend a lot. Kisses express caring and love. They feel good to the one you’re kissing. So why not send kisses to you?

It may sound silly at first. After all, you don’t see people throwing themselves kisses, except in movies or cartoons, and they’re usually people with overblown egos. That’s because those who send themselves kisses do it in private so nobody sees. And that’s fine. You should do it in private too. But do it!

Throw yourself a kiss in the mirror, even if you laugh.

Do it often. Just don’t let anyone see! I felt really funny the first and second times and more. But it also made me smile. And smile. I’d walk by a mirror in my apartment, see me, and blow a kiss like I’d do to a friend I see across the room. Then I’d sometimes do it before brushing my teeth. The more I did it the more I smiled at the absurdity and also the loving significance.

Now when I throw myself a kiss I immediately think or say, “I love me.” It’s a lovely way to reinforce self-love and just takes a second, if you don’t count the time you may laugh after. Try it. Self-love feels good every day when you do loving things. Just do it in private so you don’t have to explain yourself after!
