“I Love Me” Tip: Post Happy Thoughts

Today is Day 25 of my 31 Days of Self-Love posts to celebrate Self-Love Month with suggestions for jumpstarting your own self-love.

Often things that bother you can override the good you have. Studies have shown that negative emotions can be more powerful than positive ones and stick to you for longer. So it’s good to remind yourself of all the blessings you have. That’s why I have my Conscious Gratitude group on Yahoo where we post our blessings. That helps raise consciousness of the good in your life.

Visual reminders that you see every day can keep you on a more positive track. That’s why I love to write happy thoughts about my life on post-its and stick them up. I recommend you try this and put them somewhere visible—on the fridge, bathroom mirror, computer, front door, etc. Change them around so you see different ones in different places every few days. I use uplifting quotes, things I love about me, something I’ve accomplished and am proud of, etc. on my notes.

Every time you read something positive you’ll feel good. Every time you read something positive, you’ll smile more. Every time you read something positive, you’re reminded that life is good. Every time you read something positive, you also say, “I love me!”
