“I Love Me” Tip: Take Good Care of Your Heart

Today is Day 9 of my 31 Days of Self-Love posts to celebrate Self-Love Month with suggestions for jump-starting your own self-love and joining The Self-Love Movement™.

I just read an article about how more younger adults than ever are developing heart problems from stress. We often take our hearts for granted until it’s too late because a problem develops. A great act of self-love is to make an effort to do things that are healthy for your heart: exercise, watching your cholesterol, eating healthy food, and avoiding stress.

According to self-love ambassador, Sarah A. Samaan, MD, FACC, cardiologist with Legacy Heart Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, co-director of the Women’s Cardiovascular Institute at the Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas and author of Best Practices for a Healthy Heart says, “Make a commitment to treat your own beautiful heart with love and respect. We are all miraculous creatures. Nurture your gift of life by making healthy choices that honor the mind, body and soul.”

That says, “I love me!”

Who Is Your Body Image Role Model?
When I interviewed a woman who had been a model she said that the worst feeling was being a model, thinking she had a good body and then having her photos airbrushed to make her look slimmer and more perfect. Yet so many of us compare ourselves to models and other images in the media. That’s so un
