Today is Day 8 of my 31 Days of Self-Love posts to celebrate Self-Love Month with suggestions for jump-starting your own self-love and joining The Self-Love Movement™.

This is post 218 in my series on the Law of Attraction in Action. You CAN use your power to manifest your desires.. I do it every day! Read all the posts in my Law of Attraction in Action Series to see how.

How often do you count your blessings? Showing gratitude is encouraged in many books and articles, including mine. You may write down what you’re grateful for, and then move on. But true gratitude—the most self-loving kind that attracts the most rewards—is a mindset. Since gratitude is a great tool for manifesting desires, feeling grateful for your life on an ongoing basis will make you feel wonderful and attract more goodies—a great loving combo!

It’s more common to take your life for granted. You wake up to sunshine, eat your breakfast, get dressed and go out by rote, never consciously acknowledging how good it is to see or have any of it. It’s just there, like so much of what you take for granted. How often do you consciously acknowledge your good health, the loving people in your world, having enough money, etc.? I don’t mean just expressing gratitude by rote. I mean with positive emotion that can up your vibration for manifesting. Compare that to how much you complain about what you don’t like or don’t have. Complaints create a negative vibration that attracts more negatives.

Gratitude stokes your positive vibration and attracts more things to be grateful for. Not taking your life for granted makes sense on Law of Attraction terms. When you consciously feel grateful for something good in your life, you feel good. When you complain about something, you feel bad. Since the emotions behind your vibration determines what you attract, making an effort to not take life for granted—to consciously feel happy about all the good you have—sets your vibration up to manifest a lot more. Since it makes you feel good to notice all of your blessings every day, not taking your life for granted says, “I love me!”

Pay attention to your environment, the good people you work with, your good health, and all the wonderful staples in your world that you become so used to having that you barely notice them, except when they’re gone. Get into the habit of saying, “thank you” for everything that you’re happy to have in your world. Join my Conscious Gratitude group on Yahoo and post what you’re grateful for.  The less you take your life for granted, the more you’ll feel the good energy of appreciating what you have. That attracts more blessings into your life and keeps you smiling. It’s a wonderful way to nourish self-love!
