Starting Over

QUESTION

How can I strengthen my prayer for a new start with the resolve to actually accomplish it?

ANSWER

In a certain sense you won’t find a more important prayer than the wish and the willingness to start your life over. The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh. Nothing that stood in your way even a heartbeat before stands there now in the same way. It’s all new, even if you can’t as yet see it that way. You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life to discover the incredible freedom that waits for you just behind it. And then nothing can stop you. You’ll know the real secret and the perfect power of starting over.

Strive to Nourish the Soul
We must strive to be ever mindful of the company we keep, for by these same sources is our Soul nourished and sustained and subsequently taught to evolve or degenerate, brought into the Light or the darkness, and at last delivered unto Life or death.

The World Beyond Preparation
Preparation, hard work, is part of perfecting whatever you’ve imagined you want to attain in this world. But there is a world beyond anything we can imagine; it is an intelligent presence, a “place” of powers and principles whose self-obliterating touch can no more be prepared for than can a m

My name is Zack, I’ve been married for 5 years and forgave and begged for my wife to stay and try over the last 2 years. Not only for us, but for our children’s sake also. I always believed that marriage is something to hold onto and try to make it work if you can. As of 2 days ago my wife told me she no longer wants to be my wife. I’ve prayed, read the word and found what Paul says in Corinthians “that if the unbelieving wants to leave, let them.” So as I am in a new city, looking for a new job, my new start in life. Not knowing anyone, I am trying to start fresh, right, and by what gods will for me this time. I pray, but alone, I ask for Jesus’ strength, patience and help that I can make it! I’ve always believed in the power of Christ, but this is the first time I have put everything in his hands in pure faith, asking his will to completely encompass my life. I’m alone, afraid, and need a miracle!

The process of change is dificult but not impossible, the emotions that we have to face during this process are the ones that truely are ourselves: fear , insecurity, low selfsteem, resistance to change, but can be convert into : security, freedom, willpower, satisfaction of who you, this doesn´t come by dreaming awake that you want to be that person, this comes making the correct decisions that you feel in your heart that are correct, the most close that we get to be perfect is when you make the correct decisions eventhough they don´t seem correct at the moment. Have faith in God and in your strength, if you don´t have strength ask for it, with humbleness knowing that you can´t do it yourself that you need his love to find your path.

Just got out of a 5yr relationship with a very evil person. Don’t know why i held on so long i have known he was a bad person from the beginning. I am asking God to guide me through a new way of life and a fresh start. I have faith this time and i seriously want my life to change for the better. Every so often i find myself thinking of this person and i can’t wait for that to stop and he be just a memory(and not a very good one). I don’t wish any ill on this person. As a matter of fact I hope he to finds his way through life because if he doesn’t change his ways he won’t be here to much longer. God hear my prayers and help me on this new path i have chosen.
