Getting Healthy Again

posted by Guy Finley

Question: If you are faced with unpleasant surroundings caused by unseen forces, how do you get healthy again and get past this?

Answer: There is only one obstacle that any of us ever face, regardless of how unpleasant or compromised our condition may be. This is actually good news once we discover that it’s possible for us to transcend whatever it may be that troubles us. What is this one obstacle that all of us face that is the root of whatever seems to be wrecking our lives? What we have yet to learn about ourselves.

There is nothing that any of us have to put up with in our life that doesn’t have its root within our own lack of understanding that our mind belongs to us. Nothing may enter it and remain without our permission. Nothing may punish us without a certain unconscious consent on our part to be a participant in that unfolding process.

This is what’s so beautiful about discovering the truth of ourselves. In it we find that all that we are missing, is the understanding that allows us to act in a new way towards the world around us, because at last we now see the world in a new way — through new eyes.
