A Word to Those Who Would Be Wise

posted by Guy Finley

The wise know the following spiritual truth for the friend that it is, and cannot be tempted into forgetting it. Welcome it, keep it by your side at all times, and call upon its understanding in times of need:

There are parts of us that have no interest in reading or contemplating higher ideas, listening to truth talks, praying, or in simply being quiet enough to observe the self as it runs through its incessant and useless search for security.

This lower nature wants nothing to do with what is right, bright, and true. And not only will these parts of us never awaken to any form of being greater than themselves, they despise the light that reveals this fact about them.

If you have “ears to hear” this truth, then you also know exactly what needs to be done whenever you don’t “feel” like doing your interior work.

Healing from the Inside Out (Part 1)
Life does not come at us from the outside in, even though that is the way we’ve always seen it. Naturally enough, our behavior is based on what our mind identifies as the cause of the problem. We keep fighting the exterior challenge as a means of healing ourselves, but we keep getting hurt. A woun

All the quotes written above are very true. Sometimes we trapped by our ego and never ready to listen the wise advises or sometimes due to our other weakness. But only the solution is to become more and more aware about them. Then only we can remove them. Today we can find so many nice wise quotes and sayings to become more aware and how to fight with our weakness and how to become more strong in our strength. We should read wise books and should participate in wise discussions. So that we can go on the path of improvement. And spirituality is also one of the good way until it become rigidity.
