Love Card #2 in The Conscious Living Wisdom Card (Special Moms’ Edition)
Today I drew the Love Card.
Before I get to the text from my booklet, I wanted to add a little bit about Love. If you look at what is happening in the world – financially, politically – from my perspective it is all tied to individuals and corporations being led by Ego and Mind, with money and fame often as the driving forces.
As the energy on the planet is shifting, and it is shifting, we are being asked to live life consciously and to lead with our hearts rather than our minds or our egos. Teach your children to lead with their hearts and what they need to support themselves will follow.
Move into your weekend with love in your hearts, your mind and your words.
And with that, here is The Conscious Living Wisdom Cards text for LOVE, Card #2.
With this card you are reminded that you are infinitely loveable, but before you can receive love from another person, you must first love yourself. Love is not a one-way street. It involves learning to both give and receive love. If we are great at giving love but cannot accept love from others, we deplete ourselves. Think of love as a circle of unbroken giving and receiving. Spend some time looking deep within and acknowledge, appreciate and validate who you are. Release the critical voice that says you aren’t enough, or you are flawed in some way. Replace that voice with kind, gentle and loving words about yourself. Place your focus in your heart and live from this place. Breathe in and out of your heart to expand it and open it up. With each breath in, receive love and with each breath out, give love. And remember, love is a universal energy. There is no limit to love.
For Your Child
Children can confuse love with attention and they often feel that love has limits. Take some time to both communicate and demonstrate to your child that love is like water or air. It is always flowing and never runs out. No matter how much we give to one person, it doesn’t lessen the love we have for others, including your child. Children will also confuse love with acceptance. It is important for children to know that they are loved even when we need to correct their behavior, and it helps to remind our children that they are loved, no matter what. Understanding love without condition is key to your child developing healthy relationships. Have your child place her* hand over her heart. Then ask her to breathe in and out of her heart to expand it and open it up. Encourage her that with each breath in she fills with love and with each breath out she gives love. Teach your child to breathe love in and out and to recognize that love is unlimited.

The guide book includes insight for you which is meant to help you live life more consciously as well as insight for your child, which is meant to help support you in your Conscious Parenting. *Additionally, to avoid the awkwardness of saying he/she all the time, I have picked one gender to identify in each card.
