Life As A Conscious Mom

Life As A Conscious Mom

Empower Yourself and Your Child Through Natural Healing – Every Tuesday!

This weekend, Caidin and I were standing in the kitchen and I was mixing up a natural remedy for myself. My body has been giving me ‘warning’ signs for a few months now, but it wasn’t until last week that I started to piece all of the information together about what’s actually going on. Now that I have it pieced together and I’m addressing it, I’m already feeling so much better.

In any event, Caidin and I were standing in the kitchen and he asked me what I was making. I told him what it was and why I was making it. I then mentioned that many of my symptoms are linked to food allergies and he said, ‘I wonder if that’s what is going on with me?’ ‘I think when eat too much dairy, that’s why my stomach hurts.’

‘It’s very possible,’ I said. ‘You did have an allergy to dairy when you were younger.’

We talked more about how our bodies tell us so much if we stop to listen to them and about the power our bodies have to self-heal if we give them the support that they need.

I have raised Caidin holistically. My first line of attack is always natural forms of support – herbs, homeopathy, naturopathy as well as reflexology and energy work. I did study this. I have two degrees from The School of Natural Medicine – I have a Naturopathic degree and I am a Master Herbalist, plus a host of certifications in other modalities, but I believe we all possess within us an inner knowing that has gotten lost over the years. Our opportunity is tap back into it and with that gain a tremendous level of self-empowerment and conscious awareness.

Additionally, an important part of conscious parenting is fostering the mind, body, Spirit connection and empowering our children to know that their bodies can self-heal in many circumstances.

I am not opposed to Western Medicine but it is not where I turn to first. Today we have been programmed to give our power away to doctors. We believe that they know best, but in truth, we should be using them as a resource rather than following blindly what they prescribe. One medicine requires another and another until we are so disconnected from our bodies that we give up our mind, body, Spirit connection. Where Western Medicine turns to man-made pharmaceuticals, natural healing looks for the root cause and works with (among many things) diet, plant materials and energy to support the body in healing that root cause.

I’ve written a book called ‘Natural Healing and First Aid For Kids’ but it is yet to be published and it contains information I really want to share with you. So, I’ve decided to test out a new ‘regular’ feature where I post something once a week on Natural Healing.

Every Tuesday, look for a new post on natural healing and on natural ways to support your child (and yourself too.) I’ll continue to share through stories and offer you tips along the way.

Until then…

Thanks for being here!

The NRA Wants Armed Gunmen In The Schools
I'm sorry, but when, how, why and in what world, does the NRA have any say into what happens in our schools. Their push to put armed gunmen in schools is unfathomable to me. Schools take considerable precautions today, ones we wish they didn't have to. But really, if a school system feels the
