More Unwelcome News On Obama Faith-Based Front

Tuesday March 31, 2009

Categories: Gay Marriage, White House

Dan Gilgoff is now reporting that former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy has been invited to join the White House "Advisory Panel On Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships".  This unnecessary body already has plenty of people on it who are way off the mark on civil rights and liberties.  Dungy will be another.

Dungy's fund-raising for the James Dobson-affiliated "Indiana Family Institute" and his unequivocal opposition to same-sex marriage based on his view that God opposes it make him an unlikely candidate for useful discussion of faith based partnerships and civil rights, one of the key issues the panel will hammer out.

First of all quote from the constitution freedom of religion, it does not exist, it was meant for freedom of denomination. So we see by where the country ended up in the last twenty years of immorality and lack of it. So you dont want to take the Bible literally then use it as a moral compass, because when it was used as such by 52 out of 55 writers of the constitution the country was much better off. We dont want to forget about the thousands of prophecies that have come to pass in the Bible making it the unequivacable truth of God, Try finding that in the Koran or any where else in the false religions that exist, they dont dare make predictions especially thousands of years in advance. As far as contradictions in the Bible name a few or have you just gone along with the flow of your college professors, the bottom line is man has sinned and fallen short of Gods glory and man loves to defend and live in morality. Without the Bible there is no God, so stop pretending you know who he is, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, all things were created by him, and he set up an avenue of moral laws, you think mankind came up with these laws? what a joke any man or woman would know immediately they could never keep the ten commandments without a Holy God to help them through and forgive them when they with a repentant heart mean it, and mean not to return to they're sins. Have you ever lied? ever stolen anything? ever committed adultery? ever taken the name of God in vain? Yes, well you are a lying thieving blasphomous adulterer and if you stood before a Holy God today you would be guilty. But I forgot you are God and will judge yourself. Time will tell if the conservative christians are wrong we wont lose anything. but if you are wrong well you know. And there is no such thing as a liberal christian you are on the side of the Bible or on the side of the world. Get it straight

conscience- a knowledge or sense of right and wrong, with a compulsion to do right; moral judgment that opposes the violation of a previously recognized e4thical principle and that leads to feelings of guilt if one violates such a principle.

clause- a particulat article, stipulation, or provision in a formal or legal document.

So why would anybody want to remove a conscience from any legal document or proceeding?

Conscience is what gives us the ability to descern the difference of what is right or wrong?

Would we not more conscience clauses put in than put out, so that way the public can have the ability to say no to the things which are against right?

I have sent a mass e-mail to all my contacts. Hopefully, they will reply and sign the petition and support the cause ASAP! Everyone needs to do this. Thank you for all of your efforts in this and in all your efforts to sustain our Christian Beliefs.

Your 'beliefs' must be pretty weak if you need to ask your friends to send an e-mail to "sustain" them.

Because of Coach Dungy's strong stand against same-sex marriage and abortion, that is exactly the reason why he needs to be there. The committee should be representative of the people's views, not a one-sided group who show no semblance to the People of the United States.

About Lynn v. Sekulow

Lynn v. Sekulow is an ongoing debate blog--a blogalogue--about how big (or little) a role faith and religion should play in American politics and government, featuring the two leading voices of the church/state battle: American Center for Law & Justice Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow and Americans United for Separation of Church and State Executive Director Rev. Barry W. Lynn.

Please note that in discussing political issues, candidates’ positions and political party statements, the Rev. Barry Lynn and Jay Sekulow are offering analysis in their individual capacities as lawyers and commentators. They are not speaking on behalf of Americans United for Separation for Church and State or for the American Center for Law & Justice. Those organizations do not endorse or oppose candidates for public office. Nothing contained in this dialogue should be construed as the positions of the respective organizations.
