Barry, I really don’t understand what you are talking about. Much of what President Obama is being criticized for revolves around substantive issues – not style. And, it’s hardly “nitpicking” as you suggest. A lot of troubling developments have occurred in the Obama Administration’s First 100 Days.
Let’s just take a look at his record on the issue of life. As I chronicled in an earlier post, President Obama is on the fast-track to becoming one of the most pro-abortion president’s in recent memory. From the very start, he set a disappointing tone that’s put this country on a path that will result in more abortions and less protection for the unborn.
Just days after taking the oath of office, he immediately signed an Executive Order repealing what’s become known as the “Mexico City” policy. His action repealed a policy that correctly barred the use of federal funds by non-governmental agencies abroad for abortion counseling and abortions.
President Obama also signed another Executive Order – this one lifting many restrictions on embryonic stem cell research that were put in place under Bush Administration. That move has triggered legislative activity in some states, where lawmakers are moving to enact legislation to protect embryonic stem cells.
And, the Obama Administration is poised to rescind the regulations known as the “Conscience Clause” – which ensure that physicians and medical personnel are not required to violate their conscience by being forced to participate in abortions.
And, while we’re on the topic, let’s take a look at one of the most important appointees in the Department of Justice – the Office of Legal Counsel. President Obama nominated Dawn Johnsen, the former Legal Director for NARAL and one of the most outspoken abortion advocates in the nation. In fact, Johnsen authored legal briefs suggesting that limitations to abortion were somehow in violation of the Thirteenth Amendment, which outlaws slavery. Sen. Arlen Specter says Republicans might filibuster the nomination.
But, Barry, let’s return to the most recent controversy – The Department of Homeland Security’s inclusion of abortion opponents in the agency’s definition of “rightwing extremism” – labeling pro-life supporters – as well as veterans and those who oppose immigration – as a dangerous threat in the latest domestic terrorism warning. Not only is this absurd and outrageous, it is also another example of the Obama Administration flexing its pro-abortion muscle.
It’s now been revealed that even the civil liberty experts inside the DHS raised objections to the warning, flagging the troubling language. But did DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano take the department’s own internal legal advice and remove the troubling label? No.
Come on, Barry, let’s not gloss this over. There’s plenty of ‘substance’ behind The First 100 Days of the Obama Administration. Unfortunately, for many Christians and conservatives, it’s the kind of ‘substance’ we could do without.

The criticism is only about substance if being anti-choice is the entirety of one’s political stance.

To equate “substance” only with a “anti choice” single issue clique seems terribly ignorant of both the argument presented and all logic or knowledge of human thought.
Of course to call Jay “obsessive” on this issue, shows your ignorance of the definition and the numerous issues of law and concern, that he and this organization multi task and discuss and fight for. Of course if you said the same about the “obsessive” ACLU and their single motivation to strip Americans of every civil right enumerated in the Constitution, and to make individuals dictatorial over the majority, I would probably agree with you. If I added greed to that statement, it would probably make my argument insubstantive or to complex for your conclusion.
Perhaps you should question your own “Obsessions” before making the blanket statement that “Obama is doing a bang up job”. For those of us who don’t agree with you, it seems impossible to think in terms of any single substantive issue of law, policy or procedure that the President supports or believes decisive. Rather that we call him the Judicial Activist Extrodinaire, bent on striking a death blow to Governmental priorities, the middle class, and accepted rule of law and equality under the law.

Jay, you cite several decisions of President Obama’s which you claim are upsetting many Christians and conservatives. I’ll put them into three groups.
First, there are his positions on abortion, stem cell research and the conscience clause.
Secondly, there is his nomination for Legal Counsel.
Finally, there’s the Homeland Security flagging of pro-life supporters, veterans, and those who oppose immigration.
Taking these things in order the first, abortion, stem cell research and the conscience clause are all related to the Christian religious belief that opposes abortion. I wonder when this nation started making its laws and policies based on religious beliefs. It is my understanding that religion and state are separate and need to remain so. Decisions of policy need to be made on the basis of the best information available to us at the time the decision is made, and they need to be grounded in reason… not faith. No scientist worth his title has ever said that a fully human life exists at the second of conception. None ever will. The President listens to sound advice, backed up by the best information available at the time, and so should you. So also should those whose consciences prevent them from providing all the health services they are accepting a paycheck to provide. If conscience prevents them from doing their jobs, conscience should also prevent them from accepting a paycheck. In short, they need to find another job… one that is more appropriate to the dictates of their consciences.
Next, there’s President Obama’s nomination for Legal Counsel. This is related to your objections to the first group of things, but still a bit different. Dawn Johnson is a capable attorney. There is no reason why she should not get a confirmation. For entirely too long, good attorneys have been denied opportunities to serve our nation and far less able attorneys have received positions based entirely on the issue of abortion. As one consequence of this policy, we have had as Attorney General of the United States a man who authorized torture, and an assembly of advisors who wrote legal briefs intended to bolster his opinion and that of President Bush. We face a far more hostile world as a result. President Bush insisted on, and for the most part we all respected his right to choose for himself those people who would serve in his cabinet. Let’s give President Obama the same respect.
Finally, there is the Homeland Security Department’s language. In fact, many who oppose immigration are indeed members of white supremacist groups. The Southern Poverty Law Center has conclusive evidence of this relationship and has issued its own warnings for many years. This is nothing new.
Then, as you may know, the extremely high rate of suicides among soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan has been covered up by the Pentagon, but reported to the people nonetheless. Mentally healthy soldiers don’t commit suicide. I think we all know that while many soldiers do not do that, they nonetheless want to die. They have been known to take senseless risks simply so someone will shoot them. Certainly these troubled men and women deserve our sympathy and our professional help, but they are also free to refuse the help they need, so strong is their death wish. We should at least keep an eye on them, and be ready to step in lest they endanger others along with themselves.
And then there are the pro-life folks. Most of them are indeed fine citizens. Some are not. Their religious fury leads them to bomb clinics and kill doctors. Certainly the FBI needs to infiltrate pro-life groups, not to target the good citizens but to prevent a disaster from happening. I’m certain that anyone who joins such a group has come in contact with one member who is a bit more zealous than the others, a bit more determined to prevent any abortion from happening… and the heck with the consequences. They need to be monitored to make sure they do not, by their actions, cause the entire group to suffer disrepute.
Sensible people understand these kinds of things. If you don’t plan to toss a bomb, there’s no need for you to worry at all about any of these things.

Abortion is a legal medical practice as Sekulow well knows. Obama is rescinding all the anti-choice (and unconstitutional) actions the previous President enacted to pander to the Christian Right. After only 100 days, mainstream America is already tired of the incessant whining, name calling, and outright unAmerican ranting by the dying and rapidly vanishing neoConservatives who have spent the last eight years trashing the economy, circumventing the Constitution, wrecking our reputation throughout the world, and sending thousands of our young men and women to their deaths in the Middle East for no good reason other than war profiteering. And it’s not the fault of DHS that the majority of domestic terrorist acts in the USA are committed by nutcases fired up by the anti-choice and anti-gay rhetoric in the name of Jesus. You may not agree with the ACLU or NARAL, but they will never bomb your church…

One small statemen in advance ;- IF THIS NATION IS HIT AGAIN AFTER THE WEAKENING OF OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE SYSTEM AND SECUCURITY-REALTED FACTORS ,…AS ONGOING DOWN BY THIS ADMINISTRATION ,…OBAMA AND HIS GANG CAN KISS GOOD-BYE ‘OBAMALAND ADMINSTRATION DAYS’
Now, consider this;
Now THE OBAMA GANG CORRUPTED ADMINSTRATION Is WEAKENING even more our NATIONAL SECURITY, ventilating secrets techniques to extract information from terrorists. In doing so THE OBAMA GANG is telegraphing national defense secrets to our enemies out there that want the total destruction of our country. To me that is not any different from the TREASON that Openheimer, and others, did when secret information about the atomic research of the ‘MANHATTAN PROJECT’ were given away to enemy factions.
Now, is that INTERNAL TERRORISM ?, ADVOCATE TERRORISM ?, TREASON ?, ,….what to call it? To me the entire thing is stupid or dumb , if not combination of both,…everyone, make own story on this one.

I propose; to gather ALL INFORMATION regarding ALL activities that Bush’s administration did to keep our country safe , to find any thing that could possibly be found to ACUSE, PROSECUTE, CONVICT AND ULTIMATELY SENTENCE , all of them.
And, AT THE SAME TIME, find ALL information, in regards of ALL practices of UNCONSTITUTIONAL CHARACTER that the present CORRUPTED ADMINSTRATION is executing AGAINST ‘WE,THE PEOPLE’ with the ongoing deterioration in the ECONOMICAL SPECTRUM , the dismanteling of the NATIONAL DEFENSE APARATUS (such as, ‘unilateral disarmament’, fund cuts to our troops and defense programs, stop methodology to extract information from enemies combatants that is proven to be effective, and others WEAKENING AVENUES that expose our country to be VERY VULNERABLE TO ENEMIES).
In addition,the evident changes in the SOCIO-DYNAMICS that redounds into the DESTRUCTION OF INDIVIDUALITY OF THE ENTREPRENURIAL SPIRIT OF OUR BASIS IN ECONOMY – AMERICAN CAPITALISM, meaning, the vectorizing for a massive government control promoting TOTALITARIAN / DICTATORSHIP SYSTEM where FREEDON OF SPEECH and TRUE DEMOCRACY will ultimately CEASE TO EXIST ! Bottom line ; ACUSE THE OBAMA GANG CORRUPTED ADMINSTRATION AS ENEMIES OF THE STATE.

A NOTE ABOUT EXISTENCE
I will have to be way below the intelligence level of a chimpanzee, or baboon for not to able to appreciate LIFE. This thing of abortion, or no-abortion,… life or no-life is certainly a very SIMPLE thing. A suppsosely intelligent human being should be able to fathom this one without any difficulty.
It took around 4.7 BILLIONS YEARS ! ( a heck of a long time !, don’t you think? ), right, around 4.7 BILLIONS YEARS ! for this huge multi-dimentional universe where eveything we know or we THINK we know exist, to have LIFE (carbon-base) in the variety of expression which is.
The colours,shapes,fragances,special capabilities for number of spieces ( most of them still unknown to scientist, observers, and investigators) ,….all this in plants and animal kingdoms and in the so called ‘threshhold proto-life’ area , according to taxonomical nomenclature.
Everyone , I mean, ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE with higer intelectual level that a chimpanzee or baboon could easily see how interseting not to mention WONDERFUL ALL THIS IS !
In thruth ( no matter if the person is or not religious one ) to put a word on it,…this is really A MIRACLE ! , A GIFT ! that came into existence right in front our very eyes.

ABOUT ‘THE FIRST 100 DAYS’….is there something really working for the people of our great country?
Does anyone feels any better ( as ‘in grandeour’ we should be as promised by Obama ) …does anyone feels we are better than three months ago ?,….OR… OUR COUNTRY IS IN A WORST SHAPE ?
This’ percentage aproval’ – the classic average at 100 days, 60-63% – this is just a reminicence of what is left from his PERSONAL INJECTED IMAGE AMERICAN-ROCK-N-ROLL-IDOL TYPE thing .
This,however, IS NOT said to attempt to undermine his HISTORICAL MARK as he certainly accomplish so well,..not at all,… but we have to be clear that all we have form him is ‘MARQEE-LIGHT EFFECT’, very well structurated selling to the public – nice and eloquent theater, smiles, poses and gestures , etc,…’.the works’,sort of speak,… – and THAT! ,to THAT !, the populache is very very vulnerable to it.

Quite pathetic but all is for to be just reversed – ‘WE’, THE PEOPLE WILL REMOVE AND REPALACE THE CORRUPTED DESTRUCTIVE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.
OBAMA’S POLITICAL POPULARITY IS FADING
The reason is obvious. is the ‘HISTORICAL FACTOR’ ….evidently and very correctly Pres Obama is one for the books of history, that NEVER CAN BE DENIED. The dynamics brake with the ‘traditionalism’ that characterize the small or virtually no oportunity to minority groups to adquire higer plateau in the scio-multispectrum.
So, with that said is honorable in extreme for this to happen ;….however – BIG HOWEVER – that DOES NOT set basis THE ACEPTANCE TO the poor performance on which this administration, – where he is jus but ‘THE FRONT-MAN’ , a front-face , a messenger, a symbol – on which this CORRUPTED ADMINISTRATION IS TAKING OUR COUNTRY TO.
The destrucion of our nation is quite clear ahead if we tolerate this further more,…BUT AMERICA IS AWAKE NOW AND WE ARE GOING TO REVERSE THIS ASSAULT.
Obama is not going to accomplish ABSOLUTELLY NOTHNING WITH IRAN. or ANY OTHER NATION FOR THAT MATTER; Eventually – AND SOON ! Israel will have to pre-emtp attack to IRAN atomic facilities, and OBAMA AND HIS GANG WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP BUT WILL REPUDIATE ISRAEL ACTIONS – JUST WATCH !
However here in american soil Obama will have another successful shot at the masses for he still have some pulll because his personal popularity – just that.
And so all comes clear;
WHY IT SEEMS THAT OBAMA AND HIS GANG ARE GETING AWAY WITH EVERYTHING THEY WANT?
Because Obama is a ‘history-mark’, that leads the populache to let go EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING on his behalf.Although his symbolism is important, that is not reason much less excuse, to allow HIM AND HIS GANG TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY.
The public is not blind, but is fooling themselves (SOME OF THEM) pathetically and so our nation is at RISK!
The historical event, of to have a minority-generated president, is already ‘in the books’ but, the PRODUCT OF THAT EVENT – (Obama,…more specific, OBAMA AND HIS GANG OF INEPTS) are with an agenda of NATIONAL DESTRUCTION. The ANTI-CONSTITUTIONALISM IS CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO OUR COUNTRY – AND SO, THIS FIRST ‘HISTORICAL ATTEMPT’ IS JUST NOT WORKING AT ALL ON BEHALF OF OUR COUNTRY….WE ARE LOOSING THE NATION TO THIS ‘HISTORICAL PRODUCT’
On that the public is WAKE! already,… AND IS NOW, WELL AWARE OF THE DYNAMICS.
WE,THE PEOPLE, we have the responsablity of to REMOVE AND REPLACE THE PRESENT CORRUPTED ADMINSTRATION with better leaders,… individuals of GOOD CHARACTER, HONESTY, AND INTEGRITY.
OBAMA AND HIS GANG BROUGHT TO US, DECEPTION !
And as for the next 100 days,….expect, MORE OF THE SAME…..THE ‘CHANGE FOR THE GOOD AS HE PROMISED’ STILL WILL NOT BE. Sad story.
This is the moment when many who voted for Obama on the past FRAUDULENT ELECTIONS wishes to find a TIME MACHINE to go back in time, and undo the mistake.
Ah!, yes, too science fiction…well, in response,….in the future (should one is to come) forget about emotions, nice pseudo-hypnotic speeches,tv tabloids (CNN, NBC, MSNBC, tabloids publications such as, THE NEW YORK TIMES , THE HUFFINGTON POST, LA TIMES etc ,…you know,, things that clouds reasoning,…but most important – GET KNOWLEDGE, INVESTIGATE, ANALYZE, LISTEN TO THE CANDIDATES THEMSELVES.

I CAN TELL YA SOMETHING TOLD ME NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA OR NANCY PELOSI AND I SURE AM GLAD I DIDN’T. A LOT OF PEOPLE GOT MUZZELED AND BLINDED TO WHAT THIS GUY IS GOING TO DO TO THIS COUNTRY.IF WE DON’T GET THEM OUT OF OFFICE NOW. WELL COUNT ON JESUS COMING BACK REAL SOON.OH THE CHANGE OBAMA IS WANTING TO BRING US. I DON’T WANT IT.IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS.

Well as we all know church and state has always been together! How do you think this country was founded on? GOD!! Prayer used to be in schools but now look at what the liberalism has done now they kill and that is what they want. Well their actions speak for themselves… keep taking GOD out on everything and see what happens….
