Three weeks from now, many Christians will gather for services on Ash Wednesday. Thus will begin the season of Lent, a six-week time of preparation for Good Friday and Easter.

Over the years, I have produced a variety of online resources to help people understand the deeper meaning of this time of the Christian year. Because many churches and church leaders are planning for the “holi-days” right now, I thought I’d put up some links today.

I want to add a word about the last resource. Several years ago, my wife painted a series of pictures based on the biblical Stations of the Cross. You can see an example below. Since then, she has been pleased to make these available to churches and other Christian organizations for use during Lent and Holy Week. Hundreds of churches across the world have used these paintings, free of charge. All we ask is that you contact us, asking for permission, and that you don’t use the paintings in any commercial purpose. Please contact me if you would like to use my wife’s paintings.
