Since TV has been working so well here lately, let’s keep it going. Believe it or not, the United Nations is calling on Battlestar Galactica’s Commander William Adama and President Laura Roslin to meet with a selection of UN representatives. I’ve liked Edward James Olmos ever since his Miami Vice days — maybe he can help the UN clean up the neighborhood. But I am puzzled why Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who is after all an experienced diplomat, did not get the call. Maybe there’s still some lingering suspicion about those Borg implants …
