I have been looking forward to this show since I first heard about it. It will be recorded for later reference – or until I can buy the program from PBS. Once of my most thumbed through collection of books is the role of humor in religion (anyone fool or bully can make you cry, but only a real empathic genius can make you laugh). So this will be a great addition to my library.

Thanks, jestrfyl (I wonder if your screen name is a reference to laughter?). I love the quote from W.H. Auden about people who “don’t kid themselves our care is consolable but believe a laugh is less heartless than tears.”
