DC Fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes

posted by Nell Minow

If you’re in the DC area on May 19, come to the fabulous Rock Creek restaurant in Mazza Gallerie for a “Beauty and the Beach” fund-raiser for juvenile diabetes. For $35 ($40 at the door), you will get hors d’oeuvres, wine, and some great beauty tips and treats. There will also be a silent auction featuring goodies including the chance to attend a critics’ screening with me. It’s a great cause and it will be a lot of fun.

Jerry Lewis is Back (in France) With a New Movie -- A Drama
They really do love Jerry Lewis in France, so where better to premiere his first movie in 23 years than Cannes?  The 87-year-old legendary funny man appears in a drama called "Max Rose," about an elderly widower, co-starring with Claire Bloom.  The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive clip.

I agree Nell. It is a great cause. It is nice to see that people are willing to put time and energy into creating valuable funds for an important cause. It is also nice of you to place this on your website and offer to have someone attend a review with you. I will hope that this fund-raiser proves to be a financial success.
You can rest easy though Nell. I am not in the DC area and will have no opportunity to join in to attend that review with you. Dang. lol

Thanks, Tim! And if you do come to DC, let me know and I’ll try to arrange a screening invitation for you, too!
