Uncross the Stars

This is an affecting little film that is worth a look on DVD. Dan Gillies (“Spider-Man 2″) plays Troy, a young widower bereft and isolated by the death of his wife. A letter she left asking him to build a porch for his Aunt Hilda (Barbara Hershey) takes him out into the desert, where she works in a medical clinic. He meets an assortment of quirky types including some very high-spirited senior citizens and a mysterious cowboy (Ron Pearlman) and learns from them that loss and life and love are all both more and less complicated than he thought.
