Bravo to AMC Theaters for the ‘Sensory Friendly’ Film Series

I was delighted to hear that AMC theaters is reaching out to family members with autism spectrum issues with monthly “Sensory Friendly” film showings.  Participating theaters are schedules to run the following films at 10 am, with lower sound and light and a supportive and understanding atmosphere.

Yay! As a mother of a child with autism I applaud any action that promotes acceptance and awareness of ASD! The nearest participating theater is 220 miles away from us, so we may not be attending any time soon, but this is a huge step in the right direction. Way to go AMC!
