Million signatures sought for Pakistani mom facing death for talking about Jesus

“Our Christ sacrificed His life on the cross for our sins. … Our Christ is alive,” those are the words that Asia Bibi, a wife and mother, used to defend her faith against mocking co-workers who tried to make her convert to Islam.

She was later convicted of blasphemy and sentenced to death. She now awaits her fate in a Pakistani prison.

In Pakistan, more than 150,000 Christians have signed a petition demanding justice for persecution victims, including Asia Bibi. However, Voice of the Martyrs, an advocacy group for persecuted Christians hopes to get 1 million signatures, which it will deliver to Pakistan officials.

Hopefully they will be successful in preventing her death. It’s not easy being a Christian in a Muslim country—it can be down right deadly.

I trully support this mother, citizen in proclaiming Jesus,Christ our Lord as the Saviour. I would love to add my name to the petition to save her life. What a privilege we as American’s have to publicly declare our faith in God, Jesus Christ Ala, Jehovah of whomever we believe in as the superior being. The best wishes goes out to this individual and all who have the courage to stand up for what they believe in.

All Christans have a moral obligation to bear witness to the truth. To proclaim that Jesus is alive, because there is no other.
