The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is financing a new organization designed to bring all the world’s religions together.
“The organization hopes to prevent conflict through interfaith dialogue,” writes Spencer Kimball for the German news site Deutsche Welle. ”The foreign ministers of Austria, Saudi Arabia and Spain signed the founding treaty of a new international organization designed to foster dialogue between the world’s major religions on Thursday.”
“The thesis is valid that world peace cannot exist without peace between the world’s major religions,” Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said during the signing ceremony in Vienna, according to Deutsche Welle:
The King Abdullah Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, initiated and financed largely by Saudi money, is set to have its seat in Vienna. Plans envision an organization with a governing body composed of 12 representatives from the world’s five largest religions.
The governing body is set to be staffed by two Muslims (Sunni and Shiite), three Christians (Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox), a Buddhist, a Hindu and a Jew. The organization will also have a consulting body with 100 representatives from the five world religions plus other faiths as well as academics and members of civil society.
Austria’s Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger said that the organization’s structures are designed to ensure that none of the represented religions dominates the organization. The three founding states are also open to the membership of other countries, according to Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez Garcia-Herrera.
Saudi King Abdullah initiated the idea for the center after visiting Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in 2007, the first Saudi monarch to do so. Shortly thereafter, King Abdullah stated that Christians and Muslims should offer a common message of peace to humanity.
Abdullah then initiated an interfaith dialogue in Mecca in 2008 followed by a second meeting in Madrid with Jewish representation. A third meeting took place in Vienna’s Hofburg in 2009, where the concept of the organization was agreed upon.
The Initiative of Liberal Muslims protested Thursday’s signing ceremony in Vienna, saying that the center was an attempt by Saudi Arabia to spread a conservative form of Islam.
The idea is not new. In 2003, the Christian Broadcasting Network reported on a UN-sponsored summit of the world’s religions.
“A one world government and a one world religion — it may just sound like fiction from the popular Left Behind novel series,” reported Wendy Griffith for CBN News. “But some Christians say this scenario may be closer than most people think. Earlier this fall in Geneva, hundreds of spiritual and religious leaders met for a peace summit. And although all the major faiths were there, including some who claim to represent Christianity, it was clear that Jesus was not invited.”
To say that many Christians do not welcome the notion of a one-world religion would be an incredible understatement. Just in recent weeks, longtime TV prophecy preacher Jack Van Impe ended decades of broadcasting on the Trinity Broadcasting Network — charging that popular author and pastor Rick Warren has been too cozy with Muslims. Van Impe charged that the intent is a merger of Islam and Christianity — Chrislam. Warren scoffs at the notion, saying that he supports a Christian-Muslim dialogue — and that Christians are required to love all Muslims and win them to Jesus.
In 1997 another conference raised alarms.
“Nearly 200 delegates wrapped up a week-long interfaith meeting at Stanford on Friday, predicting they had given birth to a movement as well as a spiritual institution: the United Religions,” reported the California newspaper San Jose Mercury’s religion and ethics writer Richard Scheinin. “The ‘spiritual United Nations,’ as some have referred to it, would be a world assembly for humanity’s myriad spiritual traditions. The international ‘summit conference’ brought together delegates from every continent to inaugurate formal efforts to figure out the organization’s structure and mission and launch a charter-writing process. After several years of talking, the initiative’s planners had finally gotten down to business.
“‘You are deputized!’ the Rev. William E. Swing, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California, told delegates as they prepared to go home. ‘Tell the people that there is a United Religions, and that somewhere in the world, it is beginning to happen: that the religions are going to have an oasis where they can talk about peace.’”
So, will it happen this time?

And today the report of a South American player on a Saudi team was arrested because his tatoo of Jesus was visible at a mall. The club issued a statement that he was in the mall to buy correct muslim attire for his wife, but the wife said she wants to go home. To make the sign of the cross in public is to be killed in Saudi Arabia. What is the real agenda here? World wide Islam.

This is a lie. Yes, as Christians, we need to love all peoples and witness to the world Mathew Ch.24, the great commission. But, we as Christians must obey GOD, not man. Therefore, there can no compromise, between Christianity and Islam. If there is compromise, GOD will Judge it and punish it to death forever!!!! This is where the anti-christ comes into the picture, one world religion, on world government under man. Nor GOD. This will all fail horribly. Millions of people will die.
History does repeat, the TOWER OF BABEL. On world government, one world religion. God scattered them and gave1 them different languages to speak. Today, its all coming back. We all speak on language, english. History is starting to repeat it self again.
As the people of the Tower of Babel were totally against GOD himself, likewise the world is today!!!!!
Repent and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you
for all your sins and evil, Amen!!!
The Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his body for us, truly indicates no other religion will be approved for entry into heaven.

People need do wake up. This is setting up the system from which the anti-christ will emerge. True christians cannot compromise thier faith and have it trampled on by the beliefs of others all in the name of supposed peace. It is more urgent than ever that first, we pray, and second, we present the true gospel of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world! Time is so short, that is becoming more apparent every day.

What a Friend we have in Jesus !!! Religion what is it ? Do you want a Religion that says much that you have to Obey or a Relationship with God as a Friend of Jesus. I am a Christian Writer and a Poet who has worked in Saudi-Arabia many years and been with the underground Churches and know the Social Failiures of that land and how women are made to be without rights and the educated are fighting back at the Regime in Power can a woman share her husband with another Women equally this is Polygamy at it’s worst and I have experience and seen hate in Families as the mothers fill their sons with their Grief. I also have been to the Immam Univetsity to speak to Armef Dedat who was very sick they are Lost not knowing the True God who is Redeemer Healer Deliverer Counsellor all ” Authorithy on Heaven is given unto me” Jesus who has ever said such a Statement on the Face of this Earth “The Father and I are one” and He did say ” I am the way the Truth and the Life a not one can come to the Father but by me” I know that Nations and Leadership and Spiritually Lost as only the Holy Spirit can Teach them into all things of God Read 1 Corinthians 2-6 –16 and only those who have the Mind of Christ will have the Wisdom of God. if history has any thing to teach us then you should be able to understand Christ Jesus has been the truth life & way for all prople to come together under God. And the only way, for what other way has ever shown
the mercy of God. For God sent his only begotton Son to save the world. And only through him can it be saved. this is what Islam must come to know or parish by.

I am only afraid that the “United Religions” will turn into a “One World Religion” and Christ will be discarded. When that happens, they should begin to find hiding places. I worship the one and only Living God and am not ashamed to own him. Jesus was, is and always will be, “The Only Way to Heaven” John 14:6 as previously quoted by Bill is accurate. But is this group even seeking God and Heaven or are they merely looking for a way to… what? Bring peace???? Humm!!! Interesting…. I’m not buying it.

The idea of a single world religion is not a good one at all. Traditionally, religions have suppressed individual “Freedom of Thought”, which is imperative if we are to survive into the future. WISDOM is the product of experience and our inquiring minds. A world religion would only serve to stifle individual initiative all over our Beautiful Blue Planet Earth. We must have more faith in Humanity…as the GODS have only given us false hopes. The SAudi Arabian idea of peace between religions is a good one…however, establishing one all powerful religion is definitely not the way to go. SAudi Arabia needs to start religious change at home. The Wahabbi religion virtually deprives the Saudi Arabian Peoples of Individual Freedom to think and act. They seem to live in a robotic world..not a civilized society that places individual freedom foremost. Any society that loses individual freedom to think and act is on a course to disaster. Is no one listening to the lesson of the “Arab Spring” in the Saudi hierarchy ????

Each of the seven major religions teaches one segment of the knowledge that is necessary to create the life you want. In our organization, which is working to create an international government based on fair and equitable practices, all the religions combine to form the Faith of the Pure Ray.
Mankind is heading in the right direction if different religions can work together for peace.

This funny Saudi initiative is the most stupid conning call for peace on earth..
The family of (Saud) introduced a sectarian method to the Islam religion, the so called (Wahhabism), which comes from fundamental (Hanbalism)..
The Wahhabis claim that any other Islam sects are blasphemous. In order to support their claim to the right to judge others, the Wahhabis invented all kinds of justifications (fatwa). According to Wahhabis, all none Wahhabis whether Muslim or not, must be killed in the name of God, if they do not agree to become (good) Muslims, i.e. Whahhabis.
Christians and followers of all other religions, are forbidden from entering the (holy land) of these Wahhabis. Muslims from other sects of Islam must follow the Wahhabi rules or they will be judged, jailed or at least lashed by (the Mutawwaa) many of whom are illiterate. These are the social leaders of Wahhabism who can decide if a person is a good Muslim simply by looking at him..!
The oil will not last forever. The family of (Saud) has already exploited the oil revenues to fill-up their bank accounts. The members of this family number in the thousands. Many of them are married to many women, and some of them don’t even know their children, or how many children they have. Others don’t know how many wives they have.
The family of (Saud)’s sole aim is to stay in charge of the holy the city of Makah, the (Kaaba), and reap the annual income from the Pilgrimage…………..

Oil and water can’t be mixed (and so do Christians and Muslims) and no matter how many Christian- Muslim dialogues are made, world peace is nearly impossible. A conference call for world peace is nothing but a mere gathering of big heads. What a formality but let’s see what’s gonna happen next.
