European leaders are saying that Americans do not have the will to take action on Climate Change. They are highly concerned that we will (again) ruin the efforts being made to set “legally binding and internationally enforceable targets for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions” at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December.
Well, a whole bunch of us are taking action this week in New York City to encourage President Obama and Congress to prove them wrong. The United Nations are in session, it is 70 days until Copenhagen, and the days are packed full of events addressing climate change, all under the name of Climate Week NYC (and even if you are not here in New York City, you can still take action on climate change)!
I had a lot of fun this past Sunday as a part of Oxfam America and TckTckTck‘ s Human Countdown, where hundreds of us created a human sculpture to “urge world leaders to achieve a fair, ambitious, and binding global climate treaty.”
I can’t wait to see the final product!

You’re very welcome Darren! I had a great time at the event. I met a lot of interesting people and got to be a “dancer” for a day. Who knew I could actually follow directions well enough to dance with hundreds of other people at one time!
