WHPH-SelfESTEAM-Postcard.gif While you are busy steaming your veggies, how about some positive self-esteem talk?
Be sure to compliment yourself at least three times a day!
I love my NuYawk accent.
Look at me – steamin’ and e-steemin’. I am great!
I’m a good person. I just smiled when my mother said, “You’re not giving away your fat clothes, are you? What will you do when you gain it back?”

This is not an easy task, complimenting myself, but I must admit that I am a dedicated, trustworthy and reliable mother, daughter, sister, friend and worker.

I don’t know!? What can I say about myself that is good? I weigh 300 pounds, but my husband says he loves me every day. My first husband left me for a thin woman (huh?) I am a very loyal friend, so loyal that when my brother divorced my sister-in-law because he was having an affair with a bimbo (they were married for 27 years!), I took my sister-in-laws side and my 2 sisters took my brothers side (they have their own personal reasons for doing that). I told them that they wouldn’t think this was alright if THEIR HUSBAND was sleeping with the bimbo. I have not seen or spoken to my sisters for probably 20 years, because I took my sister-in-laws side against my cheating brother. I love my sister-in-law; she’s been in my life since I was 12 years old and really is my SISTER. I was loyal to her and I have never been sorry for it. I think my loyalty to my friends is my best assett. And I expect that same loyalty back, too. I also am a good mother to my daughter, and my grandchildren all know I love them very much. I love and appreciate my husband for all that he does for me every day. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, and I am aware that he does do a lot for me, and I am thankful for that. I try to be the best wife I can be for him every day. I cannot stand to see animals treated badly, it hurts my soul, they are so helpless. I used to be very pretty, but with my weight gain and age, that has gone away. It’s hard when you have always been pretty to deal with not being pretty anymore, and then to look inward for beauty is a difficult task after seeing outward beauty in the mirror for so long. I think I am a good, understanding friend and a good listener for someone who has a problem. I think I’ll stop now, as this is getting harder to do by the minute
