VIDEO Christmas Tip #12: Filling Up On Happiness

posted by Janice Taylor, Editor | 6:04am Thursday November 13, 2008

I was recently talking to one of my star coaching clients (each and everyone of you a star in your own way). Betty (the names have been changed to protect the innocent) said, “I know I should fill up on happiness instead of food.”Her comment led to a rich and satisfying conversation about happiness and how it affects our weight. It is a way bigger challenge to stay the course, and lose weight when you are feeling unhappy, depressed or sad; isn’t it? Weight loss is about a lot more than just food and exercise. To that end, here follows a download of a ‘body’ for you to fill with happiness …

. Be sure to listen/watch the video. It explains all!Spread the word … NOT the icing!Janice____________________________Janice Taylor is a Weight Loss Coach, Author, Columnist and 50-pound big-time-loser. You are a brave woman! I LOVE the concept of filling up with happiness instead of food! Just think – I’ll be ridiculously happy instead of unhappy! Very cool, Janice. Thanks!

One more thang (as we say in the South) I hate you for being so cute without makeup….if you tell me it was before coffee I’m going to slit my wrist. Would you mind terribly growing some wrinkles?

I sure wish you would SUBTITLE videos for us HEARING IMPAIRED!
This is a wonderfully interested concept – and I could NOT HEAR one complete sentence of the video. For some reason the sound on this site is terrible compared to some other sites.
PLEASE ADD SUBTITLES – OR WRITTEN SCRIPT TOO – SO ALL OF US HEARING IMPAIRED – AND DEAF – CAN HEAR YOU TOO!

Your body is like a coal furnace. You have to keep it stoked to keep the metabolism going. I eat protein before I go to bed and get at least 7-8 hrs sleep. You burn fat at night. Without the protein, your furnace shuts down. I had bypass surgery 1 year ago. Eating high protein keeps the metabolism going even without exercise. I have lost 150 lbs so far. Fiber/filler like lettuce is not the answer. Protein is! This works.
