Oprah: 200 Pounds and Embarrassed? Let it go, you’re the Big O!!!

posted by Janice Taylor, Editor | 9:06am Wednesday December 10, 2008

Some time ago, I wrote Oprah a letter and posted it on her website.
“Dear Oprah,” I wrote, “If I can permanently remove over 50 pounds, so can you. Why don’t you come and visit with me. Stay a week. I’m willing to bet you’ll lose weight. And it’s not like I’m starving myself or doing much exercise either. It’ll be fun.”
After I sent this note via her website, I totally freaked out. I mean, what is she actually showed up? Without warning? She does that kind of surprise stuff on her show. What if the house were a mess? Would she sleep on an air mattress? What about the floors? They needed to be buffed up for sure!
I got so wound up and caught in the web of my own fantasy that I actually ran out to Bed Bath and Beyond and stocked up on cleaning fluids and a Swiffer floor cleaning kit. It’s still in the closet. Floors still in need of polish!
So, when I read in today’s AP article that Oprah weighs 200 pounds and she’s embarrassed about it, I had the same urge to reach out.
So here goes … Oprah, if you are reading this, seriously … come and visit with me. I’m in NYC, in fact, around the corner from Maya, so we can all hang together. I’ll make huge batches of vegetable soup. Are you good at chopping? Because I’m not.
We can walk around the park, go to the post office together. And watch Oprah at 4 p.m. together. How funny would that be!
And I am willing to bet you whatever it is that you’d like to bet that if you stayed with me, a 50 pound big-time-loser, you’d be a loser, too!

Check out my before and after photos.
Note that O, the Oprah magazine says I am a ‘kooky genius.’ Wild coincidence!!!
Oprah, If I can, you can. For goodness sake. Come! Stay! We’ll talk; we’ll walk; we’ll eat fruits and vegetables; we’ll laugh it up while we slim down together.
I’m taking a risk, you know, by posting this. Oprah could show up. I better get crackin’ and cleanin’!
Spread the word … NOT the icing,
Janice

I’m going to write her, too. Let’s get a group together and tell Oprah to visit you. I have faith that if anybody can coach her, you can!!!

I’d come, I need to lose about 50 myself….but I don’t think my wife would go for it. What’s your secrets, I’ve been trying to drink tea, relax more and try not to over indulge. My weakness is in the hours before bedtime. I get the worst hunger then. The next morning I get up and I can seriously not have to eat anything until almost noon.

How about making it a week long pajama party! PUHLESE!!!!
::jumping up and down and raising my hand:: INVITE ME!!! Would’nt that be the ULTIMATE in a life changing, “feel good” girl’s week?! You could feed me cardboard slathered in hummus..for the whole time (which I know you wouldn’t, but I am just sayin’) and I would buff your floors just for the exercise…in order to attend! Heck..assign us all a section for the aerobic benefits…I am not above it and I am sure Oprah’s not either! Let me know what works for you and Oprah! Have Maya check her calendar too! Let’s get going on this people!! ;) LOL!! Blessings, Lisa

We could all use the same advice, it seems our weight revolves what is happening in our life. Stars as Opray are under such pressure. But we all are under pressure and we are all human.
I believe if you look to your heart and soul and reflect on what it is that pushes us to put on the pounds (it does not happen in a day) and it certainly takes longer to take it off than put it on.
Our bodies are our temple and what we feed it makes it grow and at those times we are not feeling ourselves. I have those same 50 pounds to lose, Opray do you want to trade them? Of couse this is nonsense but we all have demons to push away and know that you have friends to reach out to on our website, as we reach out to each other for help and advice. All the advice and help we get is one thing, acting on it is our responsibility.
You are such a wonderful person within, let the outter person show that also, no matter what your size is you are still that same person.
Good luck Opray – from all your friends.

I have tried to write 3 long stories giving my support to Opray instead of playing on her guilt. This site is a booster, not for anyone to feel bad and feel like they have sinned.
I am ashamed of this presistent pressure to Opray. We all have 50 pounds to lose, some 20, some 10, but we are all the same. Celebrites have more pressure to deal with and Opray is such a wonderful person, why are we gang up on her. I thought this site was for one and all, we can reach out but please no pressure.
