People are saying that it’s borderline pornography, others say that at the very least it’s inappropriate. Some New Yorkers think that Calvin Klein has taken it too far. And perhaps they are right. Has Calvin crossed the line?
For me, the advertisement brought up other issues. Possible pornography aside, this ad not only says that our bodies have to be perfectly air-brushed, and that you’re old at 30, never mind 50, but now, in addition, I have to be in bed with at least two other people, preferably three, to feel sexy and enjoy life.
It took me a minute or two to find center and come back to being absolutely fine with my body, my age, and my monogamous lifestyle. And you, how does the advertisement ‘hit’ you?

I clicked on the link to see the billboard, and I thought it was skanky. Calvin Klein is a weird older guy who does a lot of drugs, and it looks like the models were all high on something. I guess old Calvin thought he could sell more fancy bras and underpants if he promoted the idea that YOU can be “fashionable and sexy” just like these models if you wear his label. I think he miscalculated because this fantasy sex scene is just way too offensive for a public billboard that can be viewed by impressionable teens and kids. I’m surprised the city didn’t make him take it down.
