Does God want you to be fat?

posted by Janice Taylor, Editor | 10:20am Thursday July 9, 2009

Did you know that approximately ninety percent of Americans believe in God? Yes, it’s true and many people also feel that God has a unique purpose for their lives. Their sense of the divine and their sense of destiny are entwined.

What is your call or destiny?
What makes your heart sing?
What in life gives you lasting satisfaction?
Do you sense that God has a unique purpose for your life?
How does being overweight fit into your life’s plan, into God’s plan for you?

Our Lady of Weight Loss would like to share 5 quotes from the Bible that may shed some ‘lite’ on the topic.

“Do you not yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth, goes into the belly, and is cast out into the sewer?” ~ Matthew 15:17
“Be not anxious for what you shall eat, or what you shall drink … or what you shall wear … Isn’t life more than food? … and the body more than clothing?” ~ Luke 12:22; 29
“Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” ~ Matthew 4:4
“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 14:17
“Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit … therefore, glorify God in your body.” ~ I Corinth 3:16; 6:19-20
