I am saddened to report that Marie Osmond’s 18 year old son, Michael Blosil, jumped to his death on Friday night, in Los Angeles. He was found dead on the ground below an apartment balcony.
Michael, a student at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in Los Angeles, had struggled with depression in the past and in 2007, at the age of 16, entered a rehab center. ETOnline reported that he’d left a note referring to his depression.
Donny Osmond asked that we all “Please pray for my sister and her family.” My heart goes out to Marie and the Osmond family. It’s so very, very sad. I had to write and pray.
So very sad … Janice

Janice,
My heart and prayers go out for Marie Osmond and her family; such a tragic loss of one so young.

This really saddens me and my prayers have immediately gone up for Marie Osmund and her family. When we look at our lives and think Woe is Me, someone else is suffering more. There are no words that can help Marie right now. As a mother, I can’t phathom her loss but I have loss a grandson at the age of 18 months in the last 7 years so I understand the pain but I do know that God is Able to carry you through. Keep praying.

Marie & Family, So sorry to hear of your loss.
Am sure “Michael” has a quietier soul now.
For whatever reasons, his own, you are
not to taught yourself for his leaving
this world, maybe sooner than would be
expected by us humans. Being an adoptive
mother, myself, I second-guess myself
even more, maybe than a biological
mother would. We cannot not know
about biological DNA causes.Trying
our best to love and nurture a child,
sometimes, is all one can do.Being a
guide(parent)loving, caring for, giving
faith( which think is important)is not
everything a soul can need. We cannot
know exactly what is needed. Only
the creator knows. And that is where
your Micheal’s soul resides now.
All our prayers to Michael, you
Marie, and family. “L” Rose P.

This is a very sad moment for the whole Osmond family when I had my 2 sons it was like watching my heart running around outside of my body, everything they did as babies and youngsters were part of that heart experience. It is still like that sometimes even though they are grown up and one has a daughter and she is beautiful, the other has issues that make him unsettled, unemployed lots of the time and it breaks my heart. My heart goes out to Marie and God be with her, my prayers and thoughts are for her.

Depression is a very generic term. I don’t think we’ll ever understand the specific details of each suicide. Unless someone survives a suicide attempt and has a story to tell.
