And then there were two.
Casey James got voted off yet another emotional episode of American Idol. Emotional, indeed, but not just because Casey was eliminated, ‘kicked off,’ and sent home; and not just because the 3 finalists made their way to their respective homes (Crystal to Ohio, Lee to Chicago and Casey to Texas) for cheers and tears.
In addition, we were reminded of Casey James’ fight for life.
Casey, at the age of 21, was in a serious motorcycle accident. His doctors told him that he would never again be able to play guitar. Clearly, Casey’s need to play, his will to play and his spirit allowed his to overcome his injuries.

I knew Casey would be voted off because he was set up with the worse song by the Judges. The other 2 contestants were given great songs, and praise to high heaven. Casey didn’t have anything to work with. But look back at Dougherty, He’s a lot bigger star than the the guy that won that year. I wish Casey nothing but good luck. I feel American Idol and Americas got talent is just a big set up for the people who run the show to pick who they want to win and has nothing to do with the viewers. I will not watch either of these shows every again.
