Is your mirror making you fat?

Is your mirror making you fat?

According to the laws and rules of Feng Shui (the Chinese art of placement and energy flow), mirrors represent the mind and influence our self-image, as they reflect back to us who and what we are.

Here are some things to consider, with regard to size, shape and placement of mirrors in your home.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who’s the Thinnest of Us All?

1.  The larger the better!  If you are thinking about buying a mirror that reflects the ‘real’ you, then go large enough to reflect the real you; all of you.  From top to bottom; from left to right!   No point in cutting the energy.

2.  Shape it right!  Octagonal, round, square and rectangles are all good shapes!

3.  Free of distortions: A distorted mirror, dirty mirror, a mirror heavy with imperfections can cause problems in a good many important areas of our lives. Your mirror should be free of cracks, chips, smokiness, glazing and etchings.  You want a clear and clean view of you!

4.  No Decapitations!   When hanging your mirrors, be sure that they are high enough so that they don’t ‘cut off the head.’ Your head or any adult head.  (Children will have to deal with it!)

5.  The Money Mirror!  By placing a mirror behind the stove, you symbolically double the number of burners, which generates more wealth.  And … according to the laws of Feng Shui, your health and wealth are intimately connected!  Interesting, no? Yes!

6.  The Exercise Mirror?  On the opposite side of mirror-me-thin, studies find that women who exercise in front of a mirror feel less energized, relaxed, positive, and upbeat than those who can’t see their squat thrusts!

Spread the word … NOT the icing!
