Kick in the Tush Club: The True Meaning of Life

“We are visitors on this planet.  We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most.  During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives.  If you contribute to other people’s happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life.” ~ H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama

Howdy Do and How Goes It, Tushkateers?  Are you ready for a Kick in the Tush? Are you ready for ‘the true meaning of life?’ (according to H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama) Yes? Great! Me, too!

My rocket / rock it energy started making its way up the upward spiral when I read the above quote – brilliant words from none other than the Dalai Lama HIMself  – which were beautifully imprinted on a mother’s day/birthday card given to me by my lovely daughter and son-in-law this past Sunday. (Thanks A&M!)

After you read it and take it in on a cellular level, knowing that we are time travelers – here for a mere 90 to 100 years at most,  please feel free to make some good use of the time and …

… Imagine what our lives might be like if each and every one of us woke up (a good start to the day) and after going to the bathroom and brewing a pot of coffee or tea (I am a realist and I do have my priorities), we thought through all the things that we were going to set out to accomplish/get done (the usual to-do list), and one of the items on said to-do list was specifically created to contribute to another’s happiness.

I tried the “make someone happy” plan this morning.  After I collected my coffee and my thoughts, I called my mother, and we had a jolly good talk. She asked, “How are you?”  I said, “Peachy Keen.”  And she replied, “Peachy Clean!  Clean is always a good thing to be. I like clean!”   We laughed, although mom wasn’t quite sure why I find her soooo amusing.

What are you going to do today to make someone happy?  Do share!
Spread the word … NOT the icing!
