Dancing With the Stars: Kelly Osbourne is dancing away the pounds.

Kelly Osbourne is dancing those pounds away for sure! Still ... she recently told E! News that she's avoiding the scales of injustice. "If I start weighing myself I will start being like, 'Maybe I shouldn't eat so I could lose some more,' I would go to that end. I would get obsessed with that fact that I was losing it and I would keep at it."

But seriously folks, her weight loss, while perhaps the most visible change along with her stomach muscles, is the least of it. More importantly, Kelly is on the road to transformation and reinvention. She is evolving, not just improving!

6 Happy Energy Tips from Denise Austin, Fitness Guru

denise austin and janice taylorGuess who I bumped into at the Skecher's shoe store in Times Square this morning? Want a hint or two? She's the queen of fitness, has incredibly tight buns, strong arms and she is overflowing with positive energy. Denise Austin! True enough! I bumped straight into her.

We hugged, and we literally jumped up and down in our Shape-ups. (FYI, Shape-ups are Skechers new sneakers that are designed to promote weight loss, tone muscles, improve posture. I haven't had mine long enough to attest to these claims, but I can tell you that my feet, legs and back are happy, happy and I'm walking a lot longer and farther than I was in my regular sneaks.) Anyway ... back to Denise!

Denise's energy and positive attitude is contagious, but I know that no one - and I mean no one - is always 'high in the pie' happy, so I asked her flat out, "Denise, what do you do when you feel crappy? How do you get your positive energy swirling again?"

Here are 6 Happy Energy Tips straight from one of America's top fitness gurus, Denise Austin:

1. Call a friend! Denise sometimes calls one, two or even all three of her sisters, to get the energy moving, and a friend or two, as well.

2. Open the Doors and Windows. There's nothing like fresh air to swirl the energy. Stale air out: fresh air in!

3. Get some sun. Studies have shown that 15 or 20 minutes of sun daily improves energy and health. Be sure to put on your sunscreen!

4. Take a walk. Walking is one of the most powerful tools to get the energy and creativity moving. I know that it always makes me feel better and now that I've got my bouncy Shape-ups, watch out!

5. Hot cup of green tea. Sometimes just sipping a hot cup of tea, relaxing and breathing does the trick.

6. Fixing dinner! Denise has two beautiful daughters and when she cooks up a healthy meal for them, it makes her feel good too!

Isn't life amazing? You just never know what's going to happen! I took a walk to Times Square, and I came home with 6 happy energy tips from Denise Austin!

Tea Cup Pigs: Cuter than your dog or cat?

ART PigCrossing.jpgSomebody stop me, please! Before I head out to my local pig breeder (are there any in NYC?) and pick up the most adorable creature, a Tea Cup Pig.

Clean, intelligent, lovable and very, very, small, tea cup pigs are all the rage in the U.K. My sources tells me that Rupert Grint of "Harry Potter" has two little piggies! At $1,100 a cup, they are a bit pricey! But so kind and loving.

They are a mix of a variety of pigs that grow to about 14 inches high, the size of a small Spaniel. They are normally sold in pairs, as they don't like being alone and they do very much enjoy a garden!

Do you think the Tea Cup Pig will replace the dog or cat? Will 'walking the pig' become the new exercise rage?

1. A good day is when I wake up remembering that a good day happens by CHOICE not chance!

2. A good day is when I live the day in the present, being grateful for the little things in life.

3. A good day is a day that I look back on and smile, because I allowed myself to be open to something new without realizing it at the time.

4. A good day is when I can feel anger, pain, sadness, etc. but not let it take over.

5. A good day is when I relax and go with the flow.

6. A good day is drama free. (My choice, again.)

7. A good day is when I'm aware that I'm a kind and compassionate person and treat myself that way.

8. A good day is when I don't use excuses to paralyze my thoughts and dreams or allow fear to keep me from stepping out and doing something I believe in.

Our Lady of Weight Loss wanted me to share some exercise ideas for those of us who are NOT gym bunnies ... some creative ideas to loosen us up, get us movin' and shakin'. What gets you moving???

1. Pretend your Madonna: Blast the music and dance in your underwear (when no one's home, of course).

2. Remember the Hula-Hoop? Let's start it up again! Why not?

3. Hopscotch was the one and only game I could play effectively when I was a kid. Grab some chalk, your kid or your neighbor's and hit the sidewalks.

4. Walk backwards. Get your friends together and do it in reverse. It works an entirely different set of muscles. And makes you laugh!

5. Twister. Twist away w. your partner and end the night in a heated sweat.
