Troy Eckonen was eating breakfast at Mack's Cafe in Pompano Beach last Tuesday when he spotted Jesus' face on his last piece of French toast.After studying the toast Eckonen says he and friends also see Christ's left arm raised and holding a cross, as well as two birds over the left shoulder.
Eckonen, a bodybuilder and owner of Pompano Beach's Tropical Gym, says he isn't planning on selling the toast, and hopes that the image will help "renew the hope and faith" of those who see it.
I'd like to think I have faith, but do I want it do depend on this image? At least as shown in this foto. (I love the bite mark--was he chomping before or after he noticed Jesus? Hey, he paid for the meal. he was hungry.)
So what other food groups will Our Lord appear in now? I guess "Bread and Wine" just don't cut it anymore...Povero Ignazio Silone!

Strange indeed. One would probably be more likely to see a portrait of Joan of Arc on a piece of toast that charred ;-)
The reason so many people see Jesus in places like French toast is they don't see Jesus in the Catholic Church.
Looks like a woman in a bonnet to me. I guess we all need to see what we need to see. sm
Human shapes are quite common in clouds or trees. Anything that forms random shapes will sooner or later produce one that looks like something. There's a face on Mars. Found to be caused by shadows of mountains. Cave formations produce spooky faces because the frequent occurrence of holes often form triangles which appear as eyes and mouth. I have a photo of a stalagmite that looks like a devil.
