Salvation Army workers loading food for Pakistan's poor
Two Salvation Army volunteers were killed when young gunmen opened fire on the 30th anniversary celebration of a church in Hurr Camp, a working-class colony in Hyderabad, Pakistan.
Problems started when a group of Muslim youths gathered outside the building and started playing music loudly on their cell phones. They started yelling insults to Christian women arriving for the celebration.
The church is affiliated with the Salvation Army — and focuses on serving the poor and needy in the area. Four workers went outside and asked the youths to stop disrespecting the women and to respect the sanctity of the church.
The Muslim youths eventually left, but returned with handguns. They then opened fire on the celebration, killing two workers identified only as Younus, age 47, and Jameel, age 22. Two other workers, Siddique, 45, and Waseem, 20, were seriously injured. At last report, they were hospitalized in the capital city of Karachi.
Younis leaves behind a wife and four children. Jameel is survived by a wife to which he had been married only one month.
“The grief of the slain believers’ families has been exacerbated by the police’s indifference to the case,” reports Compass Direct, a watchdog group that offers support to the persecuted church. “Authorities did not even register a case in the killings until late that night, and only did so after local Christians blocked the main highway with the two bodies for some hours.”
Jameel’s paternal uncle, Anwar, has alleged that the police are biased against the Christians, as none of the accused has been arrested so far.
“Please pray for us,” he said.
“Ask God to comfort all those who mourn for Jameel and Younis,” requested Compass Direct, ”filling them with the peace that surpasses understanding in the midst of their grief (Philippians 4:7). Pray that the Lord will bring their murderers to justice. Pray for cross-bearing disciples in Pakistan committed to the Great Commission.”

The persecution of the church is growing by day. Christ warned us of this in the books of Matthew and John. Nothing except Christ return will ever stop the persecution. People that commit these horrendous acts don’t know what they are doing because they are of their father,”the devil” and we need to pray for them. Christ loved us all and He forgave even those who crucified Him. We need to follow the Savior’s example. I pray for the families of the two men who lost their lives, Younis and Jameel are now in the presence of God. God hears our prayers so please continue to pray for the persecuted Christians!

Father please Bless the family of Younis and Jameel
that is going threw grieving.Heal their hearts and soul from this terrible tragedy that was done by horrible people with no heart. please cure their hearts and their minds so they dont feel so much pain for their missing family memmbers,also please watch over and help Siddique & Waseem so they can get better soon and return home to there loved one’s.Bless them Jesus help them all get threw this terrible incident.Bless them guide them and heal them with your love how you know best.also bring the people that did this to justice father they dont deserve to be free.also the cops dont deseve to have that job if they cant obey the rules give them all conviction in the heart for there wrong doing.Thank you father Amen

God is great and he sees all. May the families of the murdered victims find peace and comfort within God. They are home now with our Father the almighty Lord and Savior. God have mercy on the souls of those who killed without remorse and the police over there who could care less. I can’t say ‘Lord forgive them for they know not what they do’ because they DID know what they were doing especially in today’s day and age. I do ask for them to repent and turn themselves in…but then what else would you expect from cowards! Forgive us Lord for being so angry as we know vengence shall be yours. I pray for that day to come soon! And I also pray for peace to hold on to us all now and in future injustices. Amen.

Blessings to these familys and give them peace. Pray for those who committed these acts of murder and distruction. Remember Saul and what he did before God transformed his life. God’s people move mountains with prayer. Just will be served, either here on earth and/or before God’s throne. God use us as you will, for your mind is higher than ours.
