Iranians seize 6,500 Bibles, burn 300, claim they are protecting youth

Iranian authorities have seized 6,500 copies of the Bible in northwest of Iran. In another incident, officials burned 300 Bibles.

A spokesman said the Bibles were confiscated to block missionaries who “are trying to deviate our youth.”

Dr. Majid Abhari, adviser to the social issues committee of the parliament in Iran, told the official Iranian news agency, Mehr, “With regard to the activities of these Christian missionaries to deceive people specially youngsters, they have begun a huge campaign by spending huge sums and false propaganda for deviating the public. These books were made with the best paper in the world in pocket size.”

“The important point in this issue that should be considered by intelligence, judicial and religious agencies,” said Abhari, according to Mohabat News, “is that all religions are strengthening their power to confront Islam, otherwise what does this huge number of Bibles mean?”

Mohabat News also reported that last November, police officers and revolutionary guards seized 300 Bibles from a bus and “in a shameful action, burned them all in the village of Darishk.”

Mohabat News calls itself a team of Farsi-speaking news professionals. “The Lord has placed in our hearts,” they state on their website, a burden ”to bring awareness of what is happening in the world to our Farsi-speaking readers in “Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan” – and “to better inform the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ and Christian ministries around the world about the life and the welfare of Christian minorities in these Farsi-speaking countries.”

What surprises me is that Islamists go to European countries and USA, reside there and demand for freedom of worship and they are granted. These same people would never grant you such rights in their own countries. I dont blame them, i blame the ‘Oyibo people’ (Nigerian acronym for white people) for defending anything even the Devil’s right. Only One Koran was burnt and the US government began series of apologies while the muslim world began rioting, what if the christian decide to takeup arms. We shown the muslim world that we are more mature than they are.

One wonders what would happen if we were to confiscate all copies of the Koran we could find and burn them. No doubt they would be more than a tad upset, yet they expect us to accept their ideas. There are certainly some funny people in this world who should be pitied for their quaint ideas.

I wonder just what has happened to the idea of religious freedom to all. Apparently there is one law for them and one for us.

At least I know just where I will be when my time comes to leave this mortal coil and meet my Saviour.

God bless,
Graham.

Iran a Muslim country believes it has a right to burn Bibles (300) and become pre-occupied when a Florida Paster wants to burn one Kuran. I decided that as a Christian that I’m going to bound the issue of Islamic Force (Jihad) with Saint Peter so what Jesus said to Peter: ” What you bound on earth is bound in heaven”. Also is there anyone out there who would want to join me in this prayer: “I ask that all jihadists of the Islamic Faith and all relatives of people who commit terrorist attacks from this day forward become covered with the same boils that Job went through”

This is not a surprise. As christians, we need not to worry but to be praying for them that their blind eyes may be opened. They action is establishing the curse that was upon the lineage of Ishmael “he will be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand shall be against him …” Gen.16:12. To me, the word “wild” is a “Bully” and this type of race of belief is always very disruptive. Those youth they think they are protecting will one day find out what they are hiding from them. You don’t fight for the truth. There are many ways to reach them in this age of technology. My prayer is that, may our lives and light shine to make a difference. God bless.

Can you imagine how they’d react if copies of the qur’an were burnt instead? They’d probably burn down embassies everywhere and kidnap and behead people, all in the religion of tolerance.
