Praying for Those Who Are Precious to You

Thursday November 5, 2009

Categories: Prayer

I've been talking alot about looking forward to a thing since we started the Thanksgiving Prayer series on Monday. So to keep things consistent, I wanted to share something I am looking forward to. This Friday is the release of Lee Daniels' film "Precious" about a 16-year-old African-American girl--Precious--who was born into a life of struggle and hardships. Despite what seems like a sad and dark story there is hope and light to be found through faith and the love of friends. In honor of the movie's release, Beliefnet has created a "Precious" prayer wall. We invite you to leave your prayers and positive thoughts for the people who have made a difference in your life.

My prayer request is for my family members, whom I love dearly. Mom,grandmothers, aunts, uncle, dad, cousins, godsons and goddaughters, daughter in law. May the precious blood of Jesus protect them, from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet, also a very special prayer request, reguarding my two sons, they are 1oyrs apart in age, one is 22yrs old and youngest is 13yrs old. My youngest loves his brother so much and just wants to be around him,but my oldest takes potshots at him periodically, more often than not. He teases him or makes remarks off and on,and it hurts my youngest, it hurts me too...I get on my oldest,he's the adult, why do u do/act like that? Oldest feels i protect him, I do,just as i protected HIM from being picked on,that's what a parent is suppose to do protect, but HE IS HIS OLDER BROTHER,Lord Jesus, please intercede and come into my oldest's heart and bring them closer with respect/love which i know he has but,not showing as much.My oldest is setting ground for how their relationship will become...but I know the Lord has a plan and Jesus, I lift my oldest son/youngest son/grandson to you for protection and your guidance, may they have the brother relationship that you have for them, blood of jesus...from crown of their head to the bottom of their feet...guide and come into my son's heart and heal wounds..only you can...I pray this, in Jesus Name...thank you lord I love you...Amen

My prayer request is for my neice and her daughter. My neices daughter just confided in her and told her that her recently ex. husband was molesting her daughter. Please pray that she and her daughter will have the strenght to get through this hardship. I love you dear Lord, and I pray that you will come into my neice and her daughters heart, Amen

This prayer goes out to my children. I pray my son finds christ and he can stop his drinking. My son has had a hard life and he needs to find forgiveness in his heart. I know how it is. It is very hard finding forgiveness for all the wrong that was done to you. But once you do let all that angry go in turn everything over to the lord you will feel so much better. And for my daughter I pray she also learns to forgive and learns to trust again. I know things can be different if only they will turn ever thing over to the lord.

I would like to start by thanking God for everything good and bad in my life, because I know I will learn something new from it and there's alwalys a purpose for everything. I pray for my family to be a healthy one in love, peace and harmony to give Glory to our Father, because I know everything else will be added to it. And I pray for my husband to grow in Jesus and to have a hunger to know more about the Word. And finally, my marriage to be a healthy one in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
