[Updated December 2011]
This little girl absolutely melted my heart.
Her orphanage, Kolmbocha, is far from the capital city in Ethiopia. I asked the director, “When was the last time you had any visitors?” His answer? Eight years. My hope this Christmas is that sweet little girls like Hiatt won’t be forgotten by my friends and family here in the US. There are many orphanages like this one that need sponsors like you.
To find out more about the Children’s HopeChest “community-to-community” sponsorship program for your church, business, or online group, just complete this form and we’ll get back in touch with you very soon.
Also, you can give a gift of hope this Christmas. Make a gift in honor of someone special this Christmas–a gift that brings hope to orphans like Hiatt.

It’s a small town one of our staff members in Ethiopia grew up in. We love to find places that are off the beaten path and don’t receive any help.

Tom,
This little girl is absolutely beautiful. She seems so full of life. It is so hard to imagine what her life has been like. My heart has been broken. I just want to reach out and hug her and tell her she will never be forgotten. Hiatt I will be praying for you.

Tom, thanks for your video blogs on SheReads.
I can’t wait to share them with my family. I’m on staff with Proverbs 31 Ministries and our family just adopted a one year old little girl (Aster) from Ethiopia in October. That is her in my profile photo with her Daddy! I love your heart and your books! We are so thankful for what you are doing in Ethiopia!! I posted a link on my blog and FB page, sending friends to find our more about HopeChest and your novel, Scared. ~ Blessings, Renee Swope
