One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

Michele, For a liberal, it’s sad that Stark’s phrase will now overshadow the larger meaning of his entire speech, but on the other hand, I find it even sadder when it comes to the lack of memory of when Bush did stand up and amuse himself over the search of his non-existent WMDs in Iraq at a black tie media event.Remember that little episode? Where is your ire over that that?
posted October 19, 2007 at 8:09 pm
You know what’s really sad, that you can’t get how low people like Stark are and how far down they bring the level of discourse. I’m sorry you don’t get that.
posted October 19, 2007 at 8:32 pm
Yeah, just as low as your Limpball savior attacking 12 year old children, eh?And you again deflected the WMD/Bush/amusement angle, as usual.
posted October 19, 2007 at 9:19 pm
No, your comment was a deflection from what Stark said as is your comment about Rush. I’m ignoring both comments because I know they’re untrue.

Michele, I did not condone Stark’s comment. I only commented that his ending remark will drown out the larger meaning of his speech. And yes, your hero Limpball did attack the 12 year old and then turned around and did it again – check the net – the audio clip is all ready out. And here is Bush’s amusement, remember it? Of course you don’t. http://youtube.com/watch?v=nKX6luiMINQ

I did not condone Stark’s comment.Neither did you condemn it. All you did was try and ignore it and dismiss it as part of his entire speech.Isn’t amazing that while you are accusing Limbaugh of “attacking” a 12 year old, you ignored this:LOS ANGELES, October 19, 2007 ” Last week, Rush Limbaugh announced the eBay auction of Senator Harry Reid’s letter that was signed by 41 Democrat Senators and sent to Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays. The auction closed today with a record-breaking winning bid of $2,100,100 for charity through eBay Giving Works. Previously, the most expensive item sold through eBay Giving Works was the celebrity-signed Harley-Davidson from Jay Leno in 2005, which sold for $800,100. All proceeds, including Mr. Limbaugh’s matched donation, totaling $4,200,200, goes to the Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation, a registered charity that provides financial assistance to the children of fallen Marines and federal law enforcement officers. Mr. Limbaugh serves on the Board of this organization and has been active on its behalf since its inception. And by the way, if Limbaugh’s “attack” was anything like the “attack” and “smear” you accused Michele of concerning Randi Rhodes and Jon Elliot, it will only further demonstrate your inability to understand the written and spoken word.Face it. Your track record on these issues isn’t the best when it comes to comprehension.

As I see it, we commit soldiers to stopping a civil war in Iraq and we get condemned as psycho killers. We don’t send soldiers to the Sudan to stop the civil war and we are again condemned as genocidal maniacs. Why bother to listen to liberals? They condemn, therefore they are.

Anonymous,Evidently you haven’t heard it yet, but Limpball called into the Hannity/Colmes show or the Hannity show and mocked the 12 year old boy. Just like he did Michael J. Fox. The man is a sick bully. And as I’ve typed before, I just love how those of you who brag of supposed higher moral values always turn out to be paper tigers and vicious people. No wonder Huckabee isn’t getting much traction – he’s not mean enough. As for Stark’s comment, like I posted at my own blog, maybe he was thinking of Bush’s idiotic WMD jokes just before he spoke.Oh, but I forgot. To people like you that was perfectly okay to do – having some yucks about not being able to find WMDs while American soldiers were dying in Iraq. Looney,And just when did this Civil War start? And who caused it? Get real.
posted October 20, 2007 at 9:13 am
O’Brien, the civil war between the Shiites and Sunnis in Iraq started in 680AD due to a fuss over the succession to the prophet. Sorry, but you can’t pin this one on Bush. OK, I’m wrong, you can still pin it on Bush.

Evidently you haven’t heard it yet, but Limpball called into the Hannity/Colmes show or the Hannity show and mocked the 12 year old boy. Just like he did Michael J. Fox. If it is the tape I have heard, then your representation of what happened is an outright lie. Limbaugh did not mock the boy, nor has he mocked Fox at any time. He has mocked their positions on issues, and that is fair game. And as I’ve typed before, I just love how those of you who brag of supposed higher moral values always turn out to be paper tigers and vicious people.Read your own writings before you try and condemn anyone else. As for Stark’s comment, like I posted at my own blog, maybe he was thinking of Bush’s idiotic WMD jokes just before he spoke.Of course, there is no evidence to support your contention, but that is typical of you. BTW OB, I notice that you still didn’t condemn what Stark said. You have been given a great number of chances, and yet all you have done is try and justify what he said. It can’t be justified, so you keep trying to deflect and shift and squirm and moan and whine.Facts to liberals are like garlic to vampires.

Anonymous,The radio interview played on the news clearly has Limpball mocking the 12 year old boy. In it he changes his voice to talk like a child crying and whining. Just do a google search “Rush Limbaugh mocks 12 year old.” This is the interview after his first attack. Look it up before you call people “liars”. It’s out there. And have you not seen the video clip of Limpball doing his Michael Fox impression? It’s out there as well. Next, lay off the idiotic “if you don’t condemn it, you’re for it” angle. These idiots do too many things to be able to comment each and every time. As for my pointing out the seemingly lack of “moral values” of those that seem to preach an awful lot of about them, show me where I have written about holding myself out there with such vigor and perfection. By the way, what subscribing service do you get served your right wing talking points?

The radio interview played on the news clearly has Limpball mocking the 12 year old boy.No, he is mocking the position that the left put this kid in. It is a shame that you cannot distinguish the difference, but I have come to expect that from you.Next, lay off the idiotic “if you don’t condemn it, you’re for it” angle. These idiots do too many things to be able to comment each and every time. Atr least we agree that the left does too many things that are idiotic. As for my pointing out the seemingly lack of “moral values” of those that seem to preach an awful lot of about them, show me where I have written about holding myself out there with such vigor and perfection. How about everytime you condemn something by saying “this is your morals?” or something to that effect. You compare your moral ground to others all the time. As usual, you just don’t realize it.By the way, what subscribing service do you get served your right wing talking points? You mean where do I get the facts I use to beat your postions around? If you don’t know, then I can’t help you. But the fact that you don’t know says that you don’t care about truth or facts or anything that runs contrary to your raging case of BDS.

Anonymous,You are certainly a well traveled liar. So, you are stating if a person takes on the tone of child, mimics whining and crying, that that is not mocking that child, but instead just mocking the child’s position?Man. You people are really something. Picking on a sick child and his sick sister and their family. Real moral like. But that is what is so great about you folks – you are so far gone that even with video and audio, you still lie about what is put before you. Keep it up loyal kool aid drinker.

You are certainly a well traveled liar. What were you saying about attacking people being dispacable? Another case of you demanding things from people that you won’t do yourself? So, you are stating if a person takes on the tone of child, mimics whining and crying, that that is not mocking that child, but instead just mocking the child’s position?Yep. It wasn’t Limbaugh who decided to put the kid in the spotlight. It wasn’t Limbaugh who put this kid’s face in front of the camera’s to generate sympathy. It was Limbaugh and others who pointed out that the way this child was being used by his parents and you on the left was a sham and disgrace.Man. You people are really something. Picking on a sick child and his sick sister and their family. Real moral like. No, holding this family up to the cameras and saying “this is why we need health care!” and “look at what the mean President did!” is picking on the child and using the family. But that is what is so great about you folks – you are so far gone that even with video and audio, you still lie about what is put before you. I’m sorry, but I think you typed this self-reflective thought without realizing that you were actually submitting it. Keep it up loyal kool aid drinker.Wow. Is that the best you can come up with? You see, your problem is that you can’t handle facts. You try and shift the goalposts and deflect while all the time demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of the topic on which you post.
