This is pretty sad. I guess he could say the same thing about Jefferson who cut out what he didn't believe from the Bible.

Moonshadow: HUH?? I know I'm sleep deprived with a 9 month old who refuses to sleep more than 4 hours so maybe I'm missing the obvious...
Not following.
Um...not quite sure why anyone would think that Calvinism would lead to Unitarianism, what about Calvinism would lead one to reject the Trinity?
The original Reformed Presbyterian position after the Constitution was ratified in 1787 was that because the Constitution leaves out any reference to the authority of God and Christ it is an immoral document to which Christians should not swear allegiance, because Proverbs says "In all your ways acknowledge Him."
The tangible fruit of making no mention of God's authority in the early nineteenth century was slavery. Now it's abortion...
Huh! I didn't know that, that's pretty interesting.
Because they cannot conscientiously swear allegiance to the Constitution, Reformed Presbyterians historically have not voted. The position is called "political dissent."
A wonderful brother named Bill Cornell, who graduated first in his class at WTS in either 1974 or 1975 and basically worked himself into an early grave (he's now with the LORD) was a political dissenter, as are some of the older RP's.
James Dobson was espousing a position of "political dissent" toward the Presidential election today on Glenn Beck's radio program. Like me, Dobson has voted all his life, and it's hard to stop now. But by God's grace we can move mountains....
