One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

I somewhat understand is point of view. It’s not gays that are a threat to us (for the most part.) And abortion is not really going to be a presidential decision (except for the appointment of judges, and he has come out for strict constitutionalists, dislike for Alito aside.)
He’s assuming we’ll come along for the ride, and for the most part he’s right. Does anyone doubt that the more “progressive” candidacies of Obama and Clinton will have a more adverse impact on our “core values” than McCain?
That leaves immigration, where it’s a push, campaign finance reform, which is already decided unfortunately, and the war. He’s far and away the strongest home security candidate. So I would hold my Christian nose and vote for him.

It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant of reality the supposedly educated elite and political leadership really are. If McCain does stick to selecting honest and decent judges, then the tide of immorality spreading through this country like a carcinogen in the form of abortion and same-gender sexual behaviors, AND liberal legislation ruling everything everyone does will not overtake us. Not until an even younger group of indoctrinated children into Liberalism and Progressive thought. McCain, doesn’t care about “social issues” becuase he’ll be dead and buried before the legions of New Sodom and Gomorrah, San Francisco and Boston, Liberals and Progressives, lead our country back into time for a recreation of the days of Molech and Baal worship.
I don’t vote for Democrats (because I value the New Testament and freedom more than stealing money from rich people and taxing home owners), but I will have a difficult time justifying a vote for McCain, or Romney, if that unthinkable thing were to happen.
It’s not so much about religion, it’s about not leading children into harm’s way. By McCain’s apathy to the evils of this world, real people will really suffer. I don’t want to be part of that.
