I am really ticked off that I’m losing an hour tonight

posted by Susan Johnson | 1:37am Sunday March 9, 2008

I now have to get up an hour later or I won’t get enough sleep tonight and I really can’t afford the time (it’s really bad when losing an hour messes you up this much, don’t you think?).
Argh! Stupid overregulating government! Is it any wonder I can’t stand them?

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight. My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

Poor baby.
It comes down to you, doesn’t it?
This was started for industry a long time ago.
So be a good conservative and do your duty for businesses’ benefit and in service of olden times.

Of course it’s about me, why should I be any different than the rest of humanity?

Then you should be extra ticked that Bush moved the whole thing back to March so you get to do this a month earlier than usual.

Well, I’m actually ticked at the one who set this whole scheme up in the first place. Whether it’s in March or April doesn’t matter, it’s the fact that my sleep schedule is shot for entire week until I can readjust.

Well, then you gotta be ticked at William Willet. Yes, Ben Franklin used to joke about the idea of getting up earlier, but he never codified it. Though daylight savings time didn’t start until the year after he died.

It does take an entire week to adjust, especially for the little ones. Jeff’s going out West this weekend for Spring VON, so he’ll really be screwy.
Regarding Bush: “He shall think to change the times …” (Daniel 7:25)

I was still tired this morning when I got up even though I went to bed earlier last night.
