I think I'm going to be sick. Yeah, the press isn't biased at all is it?
BTW, he takes a little too long answering the question and rambles a little about bowling and gets into the whole elitism question again but I'm still not buying it, sorry. He just screams liberal elitists and the more he denies it the more it confirms it.

zz, i don't care how he looks. i care about his policies, his education level, his intelligence level.
so, since when are you concerned about posting well thought-out, reasoned responses? that's a first.
michele had no topic, but instead decided to again parrot the "elitism" charge by "slinging a frivolous slogan and hoping it sticks." i guess it deserved a response of the same kind, aside from the fact that what i said is true.
Considering that Obama is really kind of funny looking...
I think he's ears are too big to be really good looking. You know, they kind of remind me of Bush's ears. And you know his smile kind of reminds me of Bush's smirk, as well.
I was among the 18.000 North Carolinians who turned out on a rainy night last night to listen to Barack Obama. As I sat in the crowd of white, black and brown people, little kids and students and the middle-aged and older, all of us uplifted and energized, I was filled with hope for the future of our country, a hope I have not felt in far too long.
Obama is smart, capable, even-tempered, temperamentally and intellectually inclined to listen to those who disagree with him, and inspirational: in short, he is precisely the kind of leader we need at a time when we face huge challenges. He will make not merely a good, but a great president.
And his smile lit up the entire place.
So you can continue to criticize this living embodiment of the American dream, this son of a single mom who went on to Harvard Law, who could have earned millions on Wall Street but chose instead to serve, to work as a community organizer and is now running for President because he believes in US, in our power to take back our democracy; you can launch your juvenile taunts and your Fox-inspired barbs, but you can't stop what I witnessed last night. It's too powerful.
So God bless Barack Obama, and God bless America. May we have the wisdom to see clearly and to judge wisely in November; to choose not a continuation of the bickering and back-biting that have gotten us nowhere, but the possibility of finding common ground and moving forward together; not hate but hope; not fear but courage.
And BTW: this morning Obama scrimmaged with the Tar Heels and nearly
scored a basket over Player of the Year Tyler Hansborough. I guess that kind of puts his bowling score in perspective.
"better than the illiterate bumpkin in office today, or his successor in waiting riding on his flip-flop express."

"Gee anonymous reincarnate, thanks for that well-thought out, carefully reasoned response. I'm sure all the swing voters that read here are totally convinced by you."

I'm with yelladawg - which part don't you agree with ZZ, the "illiterate bumpkin" part or the "flip flop" part? Not like YOU made ANY argument - "reasoned" or otherwise to convince us that Bush isn't a fool and a hayseed.
Oh wait aminute, it's "the cowardly avoidance of the issue by attempting to yank the whole thread off topic by slinging a frivolous slogan and hoping it sticks."
Since when is a candidate's "good looks" an issue? Someone's looks is somehow not "frivolous"??? It certainly ranks up there with your "one that will go unanswered by a thoughtful comment". This is an absurd thread, about as relevant to America's future as Rev'd. Wright's antics, and pretty typical of the right-wing blogistas here on B'net.
Me? I'm with anonymous reincarnate - I, too, "care about [a candidate's] policies, education level, and intelligence level". Not that we'll EVER see a discussion of THAT here. Like ar said, "michele had no topic, but instead decided to again parrot the "elitism" charge".
Y-A-W-N!
